Yeah...pretty hard to give a guy a chance when his duplicate gave up total omnipotence that could've saved everyone for all time just to try and kill you.

But then, he's Superman.

He know's Bat-Jutsu, Kryptonian Martial Arts, and as a teenager he studied with the greatest martial artist of the 30th/31st century(though that's probably all muscle memory due to repeated memory wipes) also he's seen multiple universes' catalogs of Kung-Fu movies.

That would rather lose godlike powers WHILE OMNISCIENT AND ABLE TO SENSE THE JOY AND HAPPINESS HE WAS ABLE TO GIVE THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE.

OH FUCK THAT'S POST CRISIS CYBORG SUPERMAN!
>>

I feel bad for Lex. In normal circumstances he should have become the Superior Superman with his own ongoing after the death of Superbro, instead we got PostCrisis Superman stepping in and Kenan becoming the legitimate heir of new52 Superman.
However I'm not complaining since I'm pretty satisfied with the Superman line right now

Damn, I actually liked lex being superman. Sad that storyline is over now. So now Lex is just gonna run the daily planet and someday take control of Apokolips? Hell, Superdad is dumb for not just letting Lex continue to act likes supes. It would have stopped him from having free time to do evil things.
>>
>>89402719
I would say he served his purpose as Superman he wanted to be Superman pay tribute to him and he did but now there's another Superman flying around so he doesn't need to be Superman anymore.

>>89402888
Dude, Metropolis is explicitly based on Toronto.

But that's part of the whole story of Superman. He's an immigrant that came to America in his childhood, who lives up to its highest ideals while not rejecting his original heritage.

Not many (non-douchebags) try to claim Superman is totally Canadian. But trying to claim there's no Canadian influence is just as douchebaggy, right?
>>
>>89403102
Metropolis is based on New York, where the hell do you even see Toronto influence?
>>
>>89403102
It was originally based on Cleveland in the Golden Age, but it's been New York by day (as opposed to Gotham being New York by night) for decades now.

No, this is better. Lex has the chance to be his own hero, not stealing the name of another one. Luthor should create his own identity, anything else is beneath him, he has too much class for it. This comic was Lex overcoming his jealousy of Superman.
>>
>>89402076
Based on his experience with Superbro, of course not.

Cleveland because he grew up in Cleveland, it's where he moved to from Canada.

"The co-creator and original artist of Superman, Joe Shuster, modeled the Metropolis skyline after Toronto, where he was born and lived until he was ten.[1] Since then, however, the look and feel of Metropolis has been greatly influenced by New York City.[2][3][4]"

Over the decades, obviously, New York's had a massive influence on the way Metropolis is depicted as well, but DC actually does set comics and base heroes in NY as well, so it's not a replacement or carbon copy, naturally.
>>
>>89399907
This is like that episode of JLA
>>
>>89399810
Fairly average cover.
>>
>>89403284

Was it always "Metropolis"? Or, like Gotham, did is start out as NYC?
>>
>>89399819
Awesome variant though.
>>
>>89403401
The seven issues of Action Comics (1938) Superman was in didn't actually name the city he operated out of, but that's the thing, he rarely ever actually did much in his home town in that series. He flew all over the world, taking on problems all over America, and the world, with no real consistency from one issue to the next.

The actual city he lived in at the time was just called "The City", he was in Washington DC in the second issue, fighting corrupt arms dealers and military commanders, corrupt mine owners, a phony "Superman's Manager", etc.

It wasn't until Superman #1 (1939) that he actually started living and working in a defined city, which was, from the first issue, Metropolis. We get a new re-telling of the origin story, Clark getting a job at the Daily Star, all of it, as if it was a brand new series with no Action Comics history behind it.

So technically, no, Action Comics #1 didn't ever say "MEANWHILE, IN METROPOLIS", but it didn't say "MEANWHILE, IN NEW YORK", or "MEANWHILE, IN CLEVELAND", or anywhere else, either.

As of Superman #1, it was Metropolis from the start, and from then on, though.

Thanks, OP.

>>89405476

If Creepy Clark is the original Cyborg Superman. The answer goes back to one of Jurgens old Cyborg Superman stories.

Hank after escaping the Source Wall via Superman's Electric Suit decided he missed being human (being locked in the Source Wall he kept reliving memories of his past human life).

So he stole supplies from Star Labs and crafted himself a humanoid body. He made sure to hide this form by not using his kryptonian powers. But what got him busted was he didn't fully know the extent of Superman's powers at that time. Superman busted him.
>>
>>89402811
Looks more like a poorly drawn carton to me
>>
>>89399886
You know he's creepy but he hasn't really done anything wrong yet. And he has good reason to be suspicious of lois considering this lois has just hijacked dead lois's life.

>>89399810

>>
>>89400156
my hope is he sticks around for a while. It would be cool if they did a thing where he gradually goes bad, thinking he's doing it for the better. he still has his superman suit in that future. So im guessing he goes like, good evil or something.

>>
>>89413165
Not really. Lois was cool at DP. Only ones they were paranoid about are Lex Luthor and Clark Kent. And you can't really blame them.
>>
>>89404636
What do you mean, it's not disgusting that a bunch of ungrateful thugs are going to spit on the White man who helped them? They spit on us for bringing them Christianity, they spit on us for bringing them out of African squalor, they spit on us for giving them work, and housing, and food, and they even spit on us for giving them White seed to relieve them if their endless, deprived, sick genetic squalor. They want us dead, and what's about to happen when they attack the symbolic Superman is what will happen when the slavering hordes of murderers, rapists and thieves splatter against the iron of armed, White America.
That's what Superman is about, and that's what you desperate, traitorous liberal scum can no longer deny.
Those death camps your traitors built? They're still there. Superman is in the White House now, and you're all going on the trains, in the trucks, and if you're particularly egregious you'll just go in a ditch.

remember when superdad was young and used to suck without powers?
>>
>>89399810
Cool
>>
>>89416844
It was pretty great.

The fact that he applied himself and studied and worked hard to make himself an asset even when powerless was a great part of his character growth. Just like the classic Captain Atom arc from his solo series where his own powers were unreliable, at best, and Batman and Nightwing helped train him to be Superhero Street-level competent (though Nate's being an experienced military operator was a big plateau to work off of that Clark didn't have).
>>
>>89403844
Common misconception. Antimatter Ultraman only annihilated with Superman in Final Crisis because he was pulled directly from the antimatter universe instead of going through a polarity reversing process. The latter is why Ultraman and Supes could go toe to toe in their first meeting without issue.

It's a moot point, though, because antimatter Ultraman was turned into a vampire and later resurrected as part of the Blood League of Earth 43.
