Hello /co/. My name is Gnotay Ritah.
Know what would be a grand idea, if we post detailed explanations of our ideas for comics.
I'm sure nobody would steal them and pass them off as their own.
>>
I want to do a silver agey book that parodies batman but all the characters are based off of shitty punk bands I like.
>Cobra Skull- Batman Band:Cobra Skulls
>The Dead Milkman-Scarecrow Band: The Dead Milkmen
>Operative Ivy-Poison Ivy Band: Operation Ivy
>Minute man-Clock King Band: The Minute Men
I think you get the idea
>>
If I could draw I'd probably just do a porno-ish comic where all the girls want a guy that looks suspiciously like me.
>>
Punisher kills the LGBT Universe

I have this story partially written up. It's a space opera game where Earth is a decaying shithole that's been quarantined by aliums, because fuck humans. Lots of people try to get off the planet because shit sucks down here, but only a handful of people manage to make it past the selection process to even get permission to leave.

The main character is a guy who, at the start of the story, just barely made it through the selection and took the first space bus away from Earth, only to find out that humans are pretty much regarded as the dumb niggers of the universe and heavily discriminated against (which is one part of the reason they got quarantined in the first place), so at the start his life is even more shit than it was on Earth. The main story is basically about the MC's struggle to make a living in a world he doesn't yet understand and that doesn't really want him around in the first place, while meeting and interacting with other creatures living on the fringes of the civilized universe.

Originally I started writing it as a sort of script for a (web)comic, but since I can't draw for shit I'm currently working on turning it into a proper novel and see if I can make it work that way.

onan the Barbarian type single handedly genocides all the male warriors of an Orc Clan. The defacto leader is now the head Priestess who is able to subdue him with a spell or whatever. With half their population dead she devises to use the Barbarian to replenish their ranks by drugging him with Orcish Viagra. He goes on a cock rampage throughout the Orc population. When he finally regains his cognitive faculties he's given the ultimatum of getting his revenge on his captors but returning to human society in shame or taking place at her side as Commander-King of the tribe.

Couple of school kids go into a haunted house on Halloween for shits and giggles. Turns out the house is haunted due to a coven of witches and warlocks who murder the young to keep themselves immortal. Also the creepy kid from school follows them in there.
Though I don't really know enough about Catholic or Jewish School students or having friends so I don't really know how to accurately write those kinds of people. Only ones I can really write for are the characters that have little basis in reality and the creepy loner kid.
>>
>>89383621
JK Rowling has no idea what school kids are like either and relied almost exclusively on obvious stereotypes and plot convenience, but Harry Potter was a massive success anyway.

Human guy is alien-napped as a kid and lives with a bunch of alien pirates who treat him as the team kid/pet while sort of teaching him about the universe, which is quite a bit bigger and more complicated than Earth. He at one point befriends the son of the leader of a mercenary company and the daughter of an important politician.

One day a cargo ship disappears while enroute to one of the bigger trading hubs and after that strange events start to happen all over, escalating until pretty much everyone thinks that someone else is trying to start a war. The human and his friends soon figure out that that's not the case, but they have to prove that on their own if anyone's going to believe them so that's what they decide to do. Shit goes down, space is travelled and alien women/men are bedded

It's Transformers. You have your typical Autobots and Decepticons, led by Optimus and Megatron, and they're chasing another through space until both of their ships crash-land on Earth.

Here's the twist. These Transformers aren't giants, so they don't transform into vehicles. These robots in disguise are disguised as humans. And not just ordinary humans, but teenagers. And as such the Autobots and Decepticons enroll themselves in rival schools. Now, in between studying for tests, dating, and dealing with bullies as well government agents, they'll fight it out not just on the battlefield but also in the basketball courts, science fairs and spelling bees!

Three heroes from different eras, a 30's two-fisted masked pulp detective, a super-strong nuclear-powered commie-punching babe from the late 60's, and rookie power armor wearing young man from the near future, all had encounters during their careers with the same mysterious cult. Their stories converge as they each investigate the cult and manage to stop its members from completing a sinister ritual, but they each disappeared in the process. They reappear, centuries later, in a time where the cult has succeeded in bringing forth nightmares from another world and using them to rule the shattered remains of reality. It's up to the three heroes to defeat them and undo the damage caused to the world.

It's a story I've run through my head a billion times now but it's never worth making

a one handed boy named will moves to a big and mysterious city to find his father and get revenge on him, and ends up making a pact with an entity known as The Rat That Walks .

Initially it was supposed to be a battle royale in which he 6/7 other people have to kill the entities that each other made pacts with in order to reunify the gods and the order of the universe, but I can't figure out the plot becuase I'm an idiot

>A drug-addicted gang member turned military-surplus cyborg serves as an enforcer for one of the mob families in a brutalist, crumbling Eastern European cyberpunk megapolis that seems to stretch on forever.

>After being shot in the face during a raid her damaged eye and skull parts are subbed out for components from the dead sharpshooter who nailed her.

>She starts to experience visions of an alternate past - partly historical, partly fantastical - that cause her to doubt the reality she experiences.

>She ditches her gang and goes rogue into the depths of the city, hooking up with two kid street thieves and stick-up artists while she looks for more clues and component parts to help her understand the visions.

I had a huge one that involved dejected Bond-villain minions turning on their boss and running afoul of a giant, time-rewinding conspiracy behind the standard heroes-vs-villains dynamic, intended to mine Earth for resources repeatedly and foster super-powered individuals in an attempt to combat alien invaders. I tried several times to novelize it, but my short attention span and OCD (I know, right?) kept derailing the project.

Eventually I realized that Venture Bros. did it way better, minus the time travel and aliens, and gave up on creative endeavors.

I want to write a psychedelic superhero comic about a character based on Jake Lloyd, the former child actor who became famous for playing Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars I: the Phantom Menace, and who is currently receiving treatment for schizophrenic delusions.

I'm thinking the main character might assume the role of a cosmic bodhisattva after unknowingly imbibing some extraterrestrial psychotropic and gaining a brief but undeniable glimpse at the whole of reality.

It's literally right there. Moves to city. Searches for father. Finds father. Attempts to get revenge on father. Fails. Makes pact with entity for power to get revenge. Attempts again. Either wins and feels the vast emptiness afforded by his revenge, regrets his decision, entity laughs. Or Loses, father admits he made the same pact, they fight the entity together, win, begin road to recovery.

BAM! Look at that bacon sizzle!

A premise isn't a plot.
>>
>>89389417
Premise: a previous statement or proposition from which another is inferred or follows as a conclusion.

Plot: the main events of a play, novel, movie, or similar work, devised and presented by the writer as an interrelated sequence.

You are correct, a premise is not a plot, but that is a plot not a premise. It is a skeleton to build on, tear apart, and reform as the writer sees fit and by god if you won't write it I will. THEN we'll see which walking rat wins the pulitzer!

Also The Rat that Walks is a silly name, all rats walk. Or Scurry. A better name would be The Rat that Watches. All rats watch, but you don't really think about it until someone points it out to you. What is it watching? Why? For what? For whom? Is it walking? Yeah maybe, it has a place to go, doesn't it? Maybe, maybe not. Who knows!
>>
>>89389674
>Also The Rat that Walks is a silly name

In peace-time fantasy land, the hero wizard of the last war remains retired. After multiple accidental castings, him and his family know he's becoming dangerous. Word hasn't escaped that he's hitting dementia, but it's only a matter of time. A weaker wizard could've simply allowed himself to die one way or another. Due to his lengthy magic experience, his body's something of a magic powder keg. Knowing this, his adult grandson and him travel to a cavern known as the wizard graveyard with the intent of allowing him to die safely, getting to know each other and each other's worlds better.

I once had an idea for a comic called 'President Kaiju' which would have been about how humanity becoming too good at fighting giant monsters (via numerous new defenses like electronic gates, specialized weapons and giant robots) pushes a Kaiju to get their monster island recognized as a sovereign nation with him at the helm leading it. Some plot ideas would have been how this action was really making the climate of the US sweat since alot of jobs relied on developing anti-kaiju measures, if they stop attacking then the economy would be fucked. So they try to provoke some type of Kaiju vs Humanity War.

I mostly put the idea down for now because I got sick of people I told the idea to telling me it should have some relation to the 2016 election.

>There’s a difference between the premise of a book and the plot and it’s important to be aware of the distinctions between the two. The premise is the general idea — the one line summary you give to someone who asks, “Oh, you’re writing a book? What’s it about?” Plot is the series of events that create the arc of the book — the actual steps the characters take to reach their goal, etc.

So, for example, the premise of the Hunger Games might be summarized as “In a future totalitarian society a group of teens representing various districts must fight to the death in a televised event where the outcome determines the fate of their districts.” The plot would be how Katniss’s sister is chosen to be one of these tributes sent to fight and Katniss takes her place which leads to her to the Capital where she learns to train, meets the other tributes, must determine who are allies and foes, etc.

The premise is your elevator pitch, the plot is your synopsis.
http://www.magicalwords.net/carrie-ryan/distinguishing-between-plot-and-premise/

and this
http://blog.janicehardy.com/2013/05/the-difference-between-idea-premise-and.html

also you need to ask yourself, what does your want and why. You need to take into account this for your story cycle
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuD2Aa0zFiA

hope this helps you out, anon and good luck in your writing

Its a story about a nerdy scientist who travels across the galaxy having sex with atleast 1 female of every alien species possible.

But he really dosent veiw the sex as a pleasure thing, its more of an experiment for a travel guide/science type book.

He than catalogues every alien womans vagina in explicit detail. What the perfect stimulus for that specific species is, what their fluids taste like, if they can be impregnated by human semen, and if any alien STD's can be transmitted to a human.

My trouble is I keep these things in my head too long, I have a pretty good idea of major plot points and some characters but it definitely needs refining.

>The Villain protagonist starts his life of crime as a grad student, stealing material from his college to construct his first ray-gun/supersuit. >He starts out small, knocking over trucks for the local Villain syndicate, until the day they trust him enough for his first bank job.
>After spending weeks casing the location and upgrading his ray gun to a gauntlet arrangement, he goes through with the robbery and promptly gets his ribs broken by a local super-heroine out of nowhere.
>Owing entirely to her inexperience and pure blind luck he manages to limp away with a little less than $10k.

>Unfortunately, cliche rears its ugly head and our little bastard begins to care for her.
