And Joe Casey in general?

No one read it, which is why it got cancelled.
Casey hasn't written any thing good/relevant since Wildcats 3.0 and Automatic Kafka.

Never heard of it, but I really dig that costume design. There's some really nice elegance in simplicity at play there and I'm always a sucker for that red white and black colour scheme.
>Casey
He fucked the end of Godland.
I really liked it but I haven't read much Casey. All three artists were great and I like how the separate storylines came together. It's chock-full of inventive ideas and great design, but he can get a bit too pretentious and self-indulgent in parts.

What a delightful coincidence.
Also this makes for a good second chance. All I gleaned was that "he's a hack who could write good comics if he wasn't so far up his own butthole". Anyone got more to add? Recurring themes, best runs, fave characters, contributions to the busniess etc? I read Vengeance & Last Defenders last night (both comics I'd had an opportunity to read before and passed on) and they were pretty damn fun. Tons of continuity, good grasp of the cosmic/mystic, plus there was an editor's note lauding his "unique vision" or some such so I feel like there's stuff worth knowing.
(someone storytimed a mini of his btw, if anyone's interested: >>89343955)

It was a miniseries which reached its pre-planned conclusion.

That's something else I wanted to ask; how does Godland rate? Worth reading?
Gave #1 a skim and I'm tempted.
Its really good, he gets some great artists to work with and despite at times being Morrison lite he has some real entertaining comics

>Morrison lite
