It's not hard. You want to lead a project? Do 90% of the work yourself and get talent to fill in the gaps. Pick something manageable and that means something quick and small.

You can't voice act? That's fine. Write, request, review, give constructive criticism.

We have the talent here. Of the VAs I know of, Doomanon, Moose, RGM, and Voiceguy are a dreamteam and if we could get them on a project they're enthusiastic about, they could make a damned good fandub or audio drama.

And that's just a fraction of the people who submit stuff on these threads. At any given time on /co/ there's 20-30 people who can voice act moderately well if given direction and do retakes to get it right.

And it's not too expensive to get a non-shit mic these days either.

I use USB Audio Recorder Pro and Audio Evolution with a USB to Micro USB converter on my Yeti.

It's a really janky setup, but it gets the job done.

If you only have a phone then just find an .apk of Audio Recorder Pro and upload via vocaroo.

You've got a great voice for voicing children.

As for the buzz, it could be a lot of things. If you're on a laptop it could be because you have the power plug in the wall.

If it's on a computer it could be picking up vibrations from the computer itself, especially if it's plugged into the back. Typically it's safer to plug it from the front.

You might have to check online for other possible causes for the buzz.
