Maybe have the syrum include some form of absorbable-vibranium so he has energy absorption powers to make him even tougher without increasing his strength beyond its already super soldier levels. You could also use that to explain some of the wackier shield shit like how its sometimes usable to cut things or hit things, redirect energy in odd ways or hit people without redirecting the energy of the strike like it does when the shield gets hit by something.

Supes: Mild shapeshifting to better explain the whole Superman-Clark Kent thing, and I am talking like shift muscles from looking shredded to flabby and slight altering of hair and cheeckbones level minor. Explain it away as being used by Kryptonians for added body language in communication, and lets you have natural Kryptonians look even weirder and more inhuman than Perfect Greek God Superman.

Like hyper exaggerated emotional expressiveness, Zod looking fucking terrifying when angry etc.

Also-Touch-ranged mentally controlled gravity-kinesis, to explain being able to grab people falling and terminal velocity without them dying, hold up a plane with one hand without ripping it apart under its own weight and even develop weirder things like FTL flight when overcharged with solar energy.

You could also explain the solar energy absorbtion by his body converting certain energy levels of photons into gravitons and storing them.

The ability to fuse together into Captain Supermerica, the smuggest, most invincible superhero there is!
