Sure, any addition is welcome. Hope you get better soon.
You have a good vocal range, but what sort of mic are you using?
I like how you do an older male voice.

I was thinking about trying to get into VA a few months ago.
I bought a not absolutely shit mic and already have recording / editing software and I live relatively close to the HQ of a anime dub company.
But getting started and shit just seems like a hassle and I'm not very talented. I just have my own voice more or less.

Scruffy the Janitor reading Archie Sonic.

Any specific lines?
>>89273477
Never underestimate acting lessons and seeing a vocal coach. You need to have good control over your own voice and having one really good voice can get you employed much easier than if you have a dozen mediocre ones.
If you wanna get in on this thread go ahead. You can also check online for voice acting stuff like enunciation and projection and breathing and stuff like that.
No harm in practicing, right?

>Never underestimate acting lessons and seeing a vocal coach.
I have no money for such things. If I did, why would I be looking for such an easy job.
So now that this has somehow become a general is anything going to be done with it or is it just going to fizzle out in a week or two? I’m just trying to get a feel of what this is. After all, it's rare for a Vocaroo thread to get a part 2, let alone part 3. Is someone going to make a place to host an archive of the best stuff, will there be a community driven fan dub of a comic? We have all these voice actors. might as well do something, right?
>>89273648
We're making plans, we have a general idea, we're just thinking of a final idea for a project.
>>89273725
Cool, may I ask for a list of those ideas? Not going to lie, I have my own ideas, but I'll save posting them for a later date to avoid looking like I'm trying to push my own interest over those of everyone else.
I guess I could try my hand at this too.
>>89273648
I dunno, we could always try something simple like get as many people as possible doing the Green Lantern Oath and then compile that into one audio file.
>>89273800
We've only started discussion and I think SNS has some ideas, I can't remember any of them except Usagi. The idea is that we want something that will give equal roles to everyone, so a team book, at least in my opinion, would be the best course of action. Another person worries about doing stuff from the big two since they have establised voices.
>>89273850
>Usagi
Isn't that that stupid fucking furry dog shit that has the nerve to drag the story of Yojimbo through the fucking mud?
Fuck that idea.
>>89273870
Well, what comic would you fandub that hasn't been adapted for a cartoon or movie and wouldn't be hogged by one VA?

Thanks voiceguy for your diligence
I hope more talented people get in on the Waiting for Trade comics, too.

Let's hear the bitterness
>>89274349
Worse audio quality, better performance.
The other guy tried adding emphasis where there was none. Like making Scott angry when he saying the "fucking my wife" when in the comic he's clearly calm and collected.

Would you like me to rerecord in Audacity and upload and see if the quality is better?

From reading the comic I'd think Magneto should sound more enthusiastic and dickish. Like "But the joke's on HIM. HE doesn't know how little I care for Pietro."

Bumping
Adding to the OP later; if you want to try your hand at amateur projects and sort of get your name out there to people then make a castingcall.club account and submit auditions.
I've listened to a bunch of other's people stuff, and competition isn't that fierce. Just get a good mic and practice.
short request

Thanks for the attempt. You sound a little stilted, relax, let it flow naturally.
