Its weird that cartoon fans aren't really thought of as a fandom.
We don't ever get refereed to much as a group. We just sort of blend into the woodwork, unlike anime fans or furries or whatever.
Cartoons aren't as niche as anime or furfaggotry.

To be fair anime fans used to be lumped in with cartoon watchers. But years of ranting and raving about how anime is not cartoons and are completely separate from each other is what made the "Anime fan" subgroup.
Its entirely self made

I want to see /co/ and /a/ merge for a week

Neither board would ever recover from that

Only if /lit/ merges with /co/ in the interim.

Only if you keep their faggot mods out of it.

Similarly I find it weird that Star Wars fans never got themselves a nickname. I mean you've got Trekkies and Whovians and stuff, but Star Wars...?

I think the term is "normie."
Unless you mean EU, knows-what-each-button-on-Vader's-chest-does fans. They're just called retards.
>>89272027
I think it's because everyone likes Star Wars. Star Trek is 100% sci fi, and thus appeals to geeks, but Star Wars is action, adventure and character development with a sci fi flavor. Midichlorian bullshit aside, there's no technobabble in Star Wars and almost all of the deep lore is kept to the EU. You can study the vast timeline of the galaxy all you want, none of that is significant in the movies. You don't need to know the homeworld of the Talz to appreciate a cool lightsaber fight.
Fandoms are autism
/co/ maybe autistic but it will be way worse if that autism had something to be validated with like being called "otaku" or "gamer"

Hmm, I guess that makes sense.

Putting labels on stuff makes it easier to be tainted.
It blurs the line between normal watcher, Huge Fan and Turbo Sperg.
