It's a good night for an indie comic.
"Wilson" is a 2010 graphic novel by Daniel Clowes, the artist/writer behind "Ghost World", "Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron" and many other large and small works.
The major motion picture adaptation of "Wilson" stars Woody Harrelson, Judy Greer and Laura Dern, and releases in American cinemas on March 24, 2017.
There are 8 pages of pre-comic material in this scan (inside cover pages, etcetera). Given that most of them are blank or simply say "Wilson" in various letterings, we'll skip them for the purposes of story time.

Of course, pages with character art and information can stay.

Thanks, George! Thanks, Erika!
Now, on with the show.

"Wilson" is framed as a series of single-page newspaper style cartoon strips about the title character, drawn in various styles. Stick with it a bit, an overall narrative does develop.
Uh... OP are you still here?
>>89265601
do people really read this?
there is nothing wrong with dougebag characters as long as the entire joke isnt just waiting for him to be an ass as a punchline just because he cans and then we jump to the next bit
this is the exact same thing family guy does
>hey meg how was your day?
ugh dont ask, i spent the whole morning trying to get in contact with tech support because my computer keeps freezing, i lost all my work and the indian rep couldnt even help me
>jesus meg do you ever shut up?
Is OP dead or just a faggot?
there's a paperback edition of this coming out in February
Alright you can't just start one and not do it so here we go

There's actually an arc to Wilson's character. Wilson at the beginning is not the same as Wilson at the end.
So how is everyone doing tonight?
Super sorry for the wait there, internet hiccup
keep postin

/co/ btfo
Sorry for the wait running around right now
>>89269988
wow
he is constantly trying to piss readers off yet the first genuine thing he writes does it
i can tottally see the jackass who made this being the kind of person who gets a prostitute and then makes her listen to his sappy story for half an hour.
just fuck her and let her leave, prostitutes arent there to give you therapy how can you be so fucking entitled?
worst thing is that they think tey are above therapy but somehow forcing a drug addict who thought she could make 30 bucks in 10 minutes by sucking dick to be there for you like if she gave a shit is romantic and not completely pathetic
OP pls
>>89268374
very funny
i read it all, not thanks to op
this comic sucks
Is this a form of meta-storytiming? Is Wilson storytiming this?
>>89270272
That's an awful lot of projection, just so you know.
Christ OP in the time it took me to look up Wilson online and read the entire thing, you had only posted seven damn pages.
readcomiconline . to /Comic/Wilson/Full

i just fuck prostitutes, i dont even remember their "names" i sometimes dont speak a single word
I love Wilson, this is a form of humor the average person just can't get
>>89268484
I am less nervous than I used to be, in part because of a mental diagnosis that wasn't so bad, and the last tensions of the US election being resolved tomorrow
>>89271396
I doubt that Daniel Clowes has sex (or therapy) with prostitutes as he is happily married.
If you want a comic author who has sex with prostitutes (and freely admits it) you should look up Chester Brown. Have you read Chester Brown's "Paying For It", and if so, would you say that his experiences with prostitutes are comparable to yours?
>>89271465
Probably, considering they're both myopic sociopaths.
>>89271465
no, but may give it a try if its nothing like this horrible comic op just half assedly storitimed before giving up ten pages in
>>89271571
Paying for It is nonfiction and it's not seeking to mock anybody. Try it, you might like it.
>>89271710
>Paying for It is nonfiction
i have no idea what this means
>>89271901
The comic "Paying for It" by Chester Brown is nonfiction and is not seeking to mock anybody. It is nothing like this comic. You might like it because it is nothing like this comic.
Though I say this as a person who enjoys both "Paying for It" and "Wilson".
