I never thought perfect characters are necessary bad, although they can make for a boring storytelling. Kim Possible comes to mind as an almost perfect protagonist that works well for comedy.

It's the flawed character that is treated as flawed that is the problem. Classic Mary Sue is not saint, she or he is an entitled bully (Like the author probably is) who is adored by most (Like the author feels it should be) and their detractors are punished and humiliated (Like the author feels they deserve)

I remember hearing about a guy in the youtbe comment section that would ask a lot of the famous cartoon reviewers what they thought of Kid vs Kat, and so far I can't see the attraction of the show. It just seems super average in every way.
