New character.

For now her name is Mickey.

She's a bad luck witch. Anything she touches with her left hand is cursed with bad luck until she touches it again. She loves nothing more than causing havoc by using bad luck.

Conversly things that cause bad luck give her good luck, such as keeping an umbrella open indoors, breaking mirrors and walking under ladders.

However her weakness is good luck charms and other lucky things. Her power is based on her beliefs and superstitions so if she believes something is lucky her powers will no longer affect it

(For example if she were to find your birthday was on July 7th 1977 she wouldn't be able to affect you)

Could you pull a joseph on her and convince her that a random object you have is lucky, rather than genuinely believing it yourself or would magic override that?

Nothing much back story wise but the world he lives in is pretty random as in no matter where you're going you're pretty much in a new place everytime. Think of it like a curse? I plan on making an item that you can obtain which is a map that cancels the said curse.

I haven't had time to work on anything because of work but finally decided on a face for my edgy robot/golem guy so might as well bump the thread with it.

Also the OC combined with Batman thread seemed like a good idea, might want to start making those more often instead of just one or the other.

I can't really draw, but here's a character idea I had for a show idea I also had.

A young street urchin girl with a big, tremendously fat cigar in her mouth at almost all times. The girl has long, messy hair that reaches her ankles, a ragged brown dress, and a big newsie cap. She has an Australian accent and her voice is usually slightly muffled by the cigar being in her mouth. Personality wise, she’s about halfway between tomboyish and girly, with a love for adventure She also has a love for all things explosive, and often lights whatever explosive she can find with the huge stogie in her mouth. She usually lights her cigar with either a match, or anything that happens to be on fire or exploding nearby.

The ghosts of her parents often manifest in the smoke of her cigar. They continue to be loving parents even beyond the grave as they help her with advice.

It doesn't just work on people but objects as well. Say you're a band and you have a concert coming up. She could touch all of your instruments and they'd all either break or be out of tune or warped in some way.

Also after originally touching you the longer she stays in contact with you may prove to make you unluckier. So say she grabbed your hand and held it for like 10 minutes. It wouldn't just be bad fortune. You'd actually have life threatening things happen to you until she touched you again.

She's always got an aura of bad luck around her that can be transmitted through her left hand. When she touches you again that curse returns to her. As such she can only cause SO much bad luck at one time without accumulating more (She carries around an umbrella to easily gather more bad luck by standing indoors.)

Beyond that she's still a witch so she can fly around on her umbrella. or cast a hex (but usually she has to remove her glove for them to be potent at all).

Yes, but you'd have to whole heartedly make her believe you. Either by proving it, or by thwarting her powers enough (or faking it long enough) that she accepts your luckiness as fact. You could tell her that your left shoe is lucky but unless you can prove it to her she'll still try to curse you.

She's basically got an aura of bad luck that sorrounds her. Any bad luck she interacts with just sort of builds on it.

Basically imagine that she is constantly in a cloud of bad luck. And the only way for her to transfer that bad luck to another person or thing is through her left hand. Any bad luck she interacts with simply becomes part of the bad luck energy that surrounds her.

So, when she makes something unlucky she is already imbuing that object with some of her own bad luck. If she interacts with it again it'll just be added back to her cloud. So she can't gimp the system and make her self MORE powerful, but she also can't fuck herself over by giving herself bad luck.

5e Fighter 2/Undying Light Warlock 2/Shadow Sorcerer rest of the way.
Has Madness-
Upon failing a periodic WIS save, the character becomes incapacitated and spends the duration screaming, laughing, or weeping for 1 round in combat or 1d10 minutes out of combat.
Partial Amnesia- Altered from the DMG, rather than full on amnesia, they can't remember the details for many things, including how to cast high level magic spells or the formula for their artificer constructs.
Is also extremely bipolar due to the conflicting energies in their body.

A long retired court mage/artificer was working on a replacement body because they feared dying, however their perfectionist personality meant they spent roughly 20 years on it, always tweaking it and adding more stuff to it instead of just using it. Eventually, once they were a decrepit old man who could barely walk, just as they were preparing for the final touches that would only take a day to finish they had a heart attack. They barely had time to crawl to the ritual site and begin the soul transfer, however something went wrong because they botched the words/one of the runes were unaligned/any number of things because they didn't have time to check it was set up properly. This caused the ritual to explode rather violently, completely flattening their home and the woods around it in roughly a mile radius, with the only things surviving being the exact center of the ritual circle.

Their soul was misaligned into the body, and rather than being attuned to ALL THE MAGIC and being generic superwizard guy, they're effectively a burnt out shell of a soul that has to completely relearn how to use magic, however is now physically attuned to it so learns very quickly.

Their personality is that of a forgetful old man at first, slowly becoming acclimated to the new body, and can be played 100% serious edgy mode or goofy old man robot depending on the tone of the campaign.

TLDR- Similar to Nox in mannerisms and movement.

Versailles is a junior sleep demon (i.e. causes sleep paralysis to feed off human energy) just starting to come into her own. Despite her frightful appearance, she's terribly shy and really only goes out to feed off humans if forced. Normally she's taken care of by her sleep-demon-turned-succubus friend, Magpie.

She spends most of her time in her little hut in the barren realm of sleep demons. Only, instead of sleeping like most others, she spends her days enjoying things Magpie stole from the human world. Versailles has enough human movies, video games, and toys to fill entire rooms of her hut. As such, she's become extremely interested in human culture, while fearing it at the same time.

Her name comes from the traditional sleep demon tradition of naming one's self after the first location one feeds off a human on.
