Movie handled the Comedian pretty badly. It's important that he doesn't fight back against his murderer. It's important that Silk Spectre's mom mourns his death despite all he did to her. And for what? More action and more palatable but weaker themes.

Honestly read some other Moore comics before reading this, preferably Swamp Thing and Miracleman. Once you really understand the style of Moore's writing, you'll appreciate it a lot more because it is the peak of Moore's stylized 80s writing. I appreciate it both as a great comic as well as a great Alan Moore comic, I hope you can too.
