I really wish that episode centered on a moral involving the 2 wrongs don't make a right shtick and Timmy learned that revenge wasn't the way to go and decided instead to give Vicky the day of her life with his fairies. Not like with tootie but just wishing stuff up for her and have the ending with Vicky having softer feelings for Timmy that spread out over the season at least.
Alas I knew as I watched that episode it was never going to happen and I'm left wondering what an arching storyline could've been.

Spitballing here, but I think the problem with Butch Hartman is that he works with the same team of people who've been with him for years, those who remained after the FoP and Danny Phantom cull. These guys are all yes men, who won't stand up to him and say the plot sucks, the ideas are generic, the music doesn't fit, and these kinds jokes haven't been funny since 1993.

That's the only logical explanation I can formulate for why he keeps doing the same stale things. There's zero conflict in that writers room.

When I said that, I expected people to be able to infer that the story would involve Timmy trying to find some way to break kid-Vicky's crush and undo the wish. It's an idea, not a complete start-to-finish synopsis.
