Why is it that all the things that have been entrapped for billions of years just happen to become untrapped during the exact same years that our stories take place?

Someone made an algorithm that demonstrated why so many celebrities seem to be dying recently, taking into account the number of years since the rise of television and pop-culture. This is probably very similar to that. I guess all the billion year old ancient evils were trapped around the same time.

It's pretty much gone already, but thanks. In my ten years here only once has a tornado actually done any damage to anybody, and it was like on the other side of town.

Back then if you had to describe what exactly Hal's powers are, all you could really say is "ring shit".

Yeah a lot of people were excited when he appeared in new 52 since Volthoom was the E3 equivalent of the gaurdians. There's a theory that E3 him probably succeeded in killing his gaurdians but not before being trapped in his power ring.

One of the only thing I disliked about Gil Kanes work was the faces. They always came out looking weird as fuck, but everything else usually looked good.

I always find it neat how this little story/moment shaped the entire DC Universe and inspired so many events around it.
