Because unlike Democrat propaganda and spin, Trump's propaganda worked. It worked enough to weather storm after storm but the Democrats couldn't find a way to make the e-mail story go away with Hillary.

Trump's own propaganda succeeded in making him into something anti-establishment in that the establishment was perceived by his supporters to be the Democrats. Democrat propaganda failed, and those two cringy rap videos are IMO a great reason why. They're god-awful, and much of the Democrats efforts to look cool were verging on that cringe.

They came over as arrogant. It looked like the Media was on their side. They had the President, the most notable figure of Da Gubmint supporting Hillary. Of course they looked like the elitists to Trump voters. They could feel like the underdog easily, their guy was under attack constantly and shrugging it off.

It's all a different level of elitist at the top, but the election came down to basically hoping people hated the other person more down at the grass roots. The majority did hate Trump more: But Trump managed to win the right people to hate Hillary more in the key states, and so he scored the EC. And that's the win that counts.

It's easy propaganda to say that something that should belong to you is held by others. Virtually everyone uses it one way or another. Attack immigration, attack people on benefits, attack the rich not paying taxes, attack the big companies with offshores, attack the central government for "wasteful spending", attack the local government for "misuse" of funding. Just point to a thing, say 'those assholes have stuff, that's our stuff, I'll complain at them about them holding our stuff - vote for me!' and it works. People love being given stuff but they love seeing other people have their stuff taken more, usually to the point they don't quite notice no one ever promised to give them the stuff rather than hold onto it for themselves.
