Inevitable cancellation>All seasons

Season 4 isn't even over yet, also season 2 and 3 are basically the same thing and season 1b is overrated. Season 3 is the best.

I like S4 so far. The Zoo bomb and Mindful Education were good.

Why was season 1 twice as long as other seasons?

In the beginning seemed bland and annoying, and I had issues with the art style, but I enjoyed the action episodes and the lore seemed interesting.

I think the writers got way too carried away with the lore and character development.
It started as a show about a boy having magical adventures with his surrogate aunts.
Now is getting too tangled up with the Earth war story, the Crystal gems past, the Homeworld gems, Steven and Connie's relationship, etc.
It's too much to handle with such a messy air schedule, so some stories resolve too quickly and some episodes feel rushed or forced.
I hope the writers will manage to give it a good ending and not drag the show too much.

The rest of the season could have been fixed if they shoved a Gem monster on each townie episode, with Steven showing his skills.
