Which was better?
Bugs Life has a more consistant story and better characters
Antz shows its age but it has the Termite Battle which is arguably the best part of the film.

>that severed head
I just can't imagine the looks on parents' faces when they took their kids to see this.
>watch Antz
>see parents talking to someone new the next day
>"Who the hell is that?"
>get in trouble
>can't watch Antz anymore
Still love the hell out of that movie

I always liked Antz better as a kid, but never really had a good reason why. Going back and rewatching them I still prefer Antz, partly because the humor is great (really surprised I even liked it as a kid I doubt I got many of the jokes) and partly because it's just a good story. I don't know why I've never like a Bug's Life very much.

as a boy I loved the war scenes in ANTZ better
They're both good for different reasons. Bug's Life is certainly more pleasing on the eyes where the Antz feel a little weird looking, even though their colors are less vibrant and cartoony. Really, it just comes down to whichever has the more appealing humor to you.

Same here.
>One focuses on individuality
>One focuses on helping others for the greater good
Makes you think.

A Bug's Life is a great film. In fact, it's the only underrated Pixar film.
