Because Home Movies rerun ratings the last time they were actively airing it were right before Toonami and so terrible that they dragged Toonami's ratings down significantly with them.

It was at the beginning of Adult Swim replacing an episode of King of the Hill. There was still a buffer zone of FOX shows between it and Toonami. With the exception of Boondocks and Black Dynamite, Adult Swim has never aired comedy originals outside of that first hour since Toonami's return.
