I'd rather read a comic with good story and shit art, but if I'm gonna be honest - waaay more likely I'll start reading something with good art. I'm sure there are tons of gems I just passed over because they weren't immediately appealing to my eye

I'll be honest, if a comic has amazing art and mediocre writing I'll still follow it. However, if a comic has mediocre art and mediocre writing, I'll just drop it instantly.

I already read plenty of webcomics that have shitty art, so the latter. Unless I'm fapping to it, and even then I can only take so much shitty writing before I decide to just forget about it.

As I am on /co/ board instead of /a/, it looks like I would rather read comic with good writing but shit art.

I would say good writing is more important than good art but art certainly helps.

I can't help but feel the Darth Vader comic would be improved tenfold if the art wasn't traced bullshit. The writing is good but the art is hideous.
