All of Larfleeze's shit was stolen by Saayd thru by implanting a hypnotic suggestion in his mind to eventually take all his stuff and break it, including his power battery. Then he got this butler, then his ongoing happened, he realized he's now the new orange power battery, he met this Celestial Being who turned his Orange Constructs into living beings again, and they turned on him and one of those was Glomulus so they attacked him, then he remembered he's an orange power battery so he just whooped their asses and left them stranded in a planet as punishment, then additional crap happened and we find out that he and G'nort are family.

Actually, all of Kyle's life is really shit when you think about it, even before the Omega Men. (And boy did the Omega Men put his tits through the fucking wringer, but we're ignoring that for now.)

Like, he became Ion, but gave it up to reignite the Central Battery. Later, he became Ion AGAIN, because of the Willpower Entity. He did very little, then his Mom died. (They introduced a mute chick as a love interest, but he never spoke to her.)

Okay, after that Kyle realizes that he - for some reason - can channel the powers of all the rings at once. He learns how to do this and becomes the White Lantern, then Volthoom pushes his shit in and Hal Jordan saves the day in Wrath of the First Lantern.

So what's the goddamn point of any of it? Kyle's life is an endless cycle of pointless powerups then bitter gutter-stomping. I'll add that his White Lantern powers are PARTICULARLY unimpressive, especially since mastering all the colors of the emotional spectrum is an epic task. (They don't even go into how he did it in detail, he just accumulates the powers really fast. Love is the only one - Ganthet - he really has to make an effort for.)
