Starts fairly grounded with some comic-book physics. By the time you're caught up there's straight superpower shit.

IDK, put me off too, I stopped watching at the venom episode, then picked it up again. It's good if you can take it as it is.

I don't even browse there. I just thought it was getting overbearing with the amount of "vigilantes" in Gotham who all think they're doing the right thing. Oh and the viper episode was terrible.

Season 1 is kinda bad, and it's badness is only compounded by the network ordering more episodes and forcing them to extend storylines. Penguin and Nygma are great tho.

Season 2 is where it gets great, they embrace the ridiculousness and it gets way more entertaining.

This. I will add that Season 1 felt like the show wasn't confident about what it wanted to be. Season 2 showed us that it's comfortable with embracing the silliness. It worked for me. I didn't like Season 1, but I've been continuously enjoying the show since the Season 2 premier. Glad I stuck with it.

Its pretty much a crazy elseworld, and if you accept that, you may enjoy it. Personally its not my thing. I just find the idea of every rogue popping up months after the Wayne murder dumb
