It got more witty, more meta, the characters got better, and the plots got more interesting.

I will admit, before it came out, I thought it was going to suck hard. Then I saw a few episodes and I thought they were alright. However, when I saw more episodes later on in 2006, it turned out that I really liked the show. It really deserved 4 seasons.

I still remember the episode where Jake took off a day from school and spent the day at school in his own style.

I remember a couple fondly.

>Chocolate Selling episode.
>The episode where they found that secret room.
>The class presidential election episode.
>The Alien Episode.
>The episode where Adam goes back to human school.
>The School Newspaper Episode.
>Finding a date for the dance Episode.
There were some awfully boring ones though.

It actually followed and was allowed proper development. First Season is all ideas, second you start trimming and seeing what works best. Third onward you've got it oiled and geared to what you want.

Cartoon Network used to program a wide variety of shows and needed new episodes to fill airtime. These days, they have a lot less time to fill thanks to Adult Swim and just load up the schedule with the same show anyway.

If it wasn't a colossal bomb out of the gate, then it was pretty guaranteed three or four seasons.

I declare that the quality of the last two seasons of Gym Partner being decent is /co/ core (/co/re?)

/co/ doesn't have a core but it should and MGPIAM would be in there, with season 2-9 of the Simpsons and Beavis and Samurai Jack

I am really glad this series has a following on /co/. It really was a fun series that had it's own charm.

A lot of shows have the main character become assholes over time but with Adam it seemed more... natural? It made sense. He's in a shit situation where he can amount to nothing in life so he's going to lash out.

Another show that put me on a dangerous path of wanting to have a relationship with some kind of animal person. Also lack the rest of the thread said, it got better as it went on. I wish Adam could have gotten over the whole "its weird to date an animal thing" though. Felt kind of disrespectful toward them seeing as they were generally on the same level of intelligence.

I'm surprised the show didn't get into that more. Towards the end it coasted on the absurdity of cartoon animals and breaking the fourth wall. There was potential to deal with the trope of talking animals.
