Nova had actual character development. He grew from a wannabe Spider-Man to an actual competent hero who lead against someone who had Thanos on his side and used Galactus as a weapon with actual memorable moments and relationships . His mini in annihilation where he deals with losing all the Nova corps and has to man up for the upcoming treat is infinitely better than >m-muh murder waifu!!.

Carol's attitude towards corporal punishment is one of many symptoms of her underlying personality. It's a very obvious, extroverted personality that's made sense for her character ever since Thomas used her as a strawman and Claremont gave her a backstory so whenever I read this "LITERALLY ONLY" shit I autoassume it's shitposting, or at least that the poster's read none of the comics.
