Why are people not banned for posting this forced meme?

Can anyone here confirm if the lightsaber forms from the EU/games are canon since the exclusion of all of the old EU material? Or if there are still forms at all and if so, do we know if they changed them?

>>
>>89029053

>>
>>89029109
The forms are still canon and they're mostly the same. I think the only major difference is that vaapad doesn't have that stupid "you have to tap into the dark side!" aspect to it.
>>
>>89029150
Didn't the first Inquisitor in Rebels say something about Kanan using a particular form too much or something in their first fight?
>>
>>89029150
That's okay, Luke is gay now anyway.

>>89029162

They're still a thing. Vader and Inky make mention how much Kanan uses Form III
>>
>>89029198
Sometimes he is, sometimes he isn't. Depends on the movie you're watching.
>>
Does anyone have a brief description of the lightsaber forms and what makes them different? I never read EU stuff and only saw them in video games.

Also, did Jedi only master/specialize in one form?
>>
>>89029216

What ABOUT the droid attack on the Wookies?
>>
If 3 Y-Wings are enough to disable a Star Destroyer, what's the point in building anything else?
>>
>only a Sith deals in absolutes
what did Obi Wan mean by this?
>>
>>89029258
All it takes is one ship that has 3 Y-wing's worth of ion bomb dispensers. The point wasn't the Y-wings themselves, but the weapon that they used.
>>
>>89029229
This is what Yoda meant when he said, "...things you will see. Other places. The future…the past. Old friends long gone.”

Every time you watch you're personally using the Force. Despecialized is sadly the Dark Side since they fucked up the brightness.
>>
>>89029258
because it took destroying the shields with X-wings, and heavy losses, before they could deliver their payload. not to mention that the rebels did not have a way to press home the advantage until Raddus had some quick thinking

WW2, which is what space combat in SW is like, even a single direct hit by a torpedo or bomb was a big deal

also narrative speaking, there is not much point in showing all the torps that were stopped by the shield, only the ones that had an effect
>>
>>89029340
It'll be curious to see more about the ion bombs. The Alliance may not have many and I won't be too surprised if we find out a certain band of Rebels helps find those too to equip Gold Squadron. Wouldn't be the first time they've obtained munitions for them.
>>
I have only seen S1 and some of S2 of Rebels so far, but I'm enjoying it. I heard that Wedge appears in later seasons, is this true?
Do we finally get to see some cool starfighter pilot action?
And do we ever get any dangerous TIE pilots/aces? I always thought that would make an interesting recurring villain.
>>
Star Wars lore is going to get completely fucked by Episode 8 if the leaks about the force are true
>>
Why does /co/ have so many aruetiise plebs?
>>
>>89029258
You build x-ray wings to protect the y-wing. And that's about it. Star wars has a pretty clear case of fighter superiority
>>
>>89029395
>about the force
What was in said leaks?
>>
>>89029340
The Y-Wing is an old ass ship by the time of the Rebellion. That's the point I'm trying to make. It wasn't some experimental gunship that fires a fuck-off amount of torpedos, just three junkers that took down a ship of the line.

>>89029368
If the shields were down then why bother with the ion torpedoes? Just fire a single shot at the bridge and kill everyone there.

>>89029395
Star Wars lore was already fucked up when Disney bought it. TFA was a shit show.
>>
>>89029388
Wedge is in one episode only, so far, and he barely does anything.
No.
No, unless you count Vader.

Old-ass ship or not means nothing. They wouldn't have been able to disable the ISD if they didn't have the specific weapon loaded into the guns to do it. Literally any ship could be rebuilt to shoot them.

It would only be an accomplishment if the weapons used to disable the ISD were straight-off-the-line Y-Wing model weapons (they weren't) or the Y-Wings pulled a future-A-wing maneuver and kamikaze into the bridge.

>>Rey is born from Luke

come on
>>
>>89029428
Rey is going to meet up with Luke, where he will take her to the Force Source, the origin of both the Living and Cosmic Forces, and the origin point of all sentient life. He will explain to her that one day the Tree birthed two humans, a Sister, and a Brother. The Sister was charged with the creation of all subsequent life, while the Brother was made to be her servant. Jealous, the Brother killed his Sister and damaged the Tree. The Sister then birthed the Light Side of the Force as we know it, while the Brother formed the Dark Side. The two reincarnate endlessly, locked in struggle for mastery of the Force and all living things. Rey is the reincarnation and embodiment of the Light Side itself. Snoke is the Dark Side.

Yes, it is LITERALLY Korra.
>>
How well does Rebels portray Thrawn? Do they do him justice?

Any kind of conscious personification of the Force is a dumb decision because characterizing the Force like a pair of warring Greek Gods is totally counter to the mythological base upon which George built the concept. There's seven forms of lightsaber combat.

>Form I: Shii-cho/ Way of the Sarlacc/ The Determination Form
The fighting style is described as basic. It's utilized to disarm foes and being unpredictable with your swings. Kit Fisto is probably the most notable person for this style

>Form II: Makashi The Way of the Ysalamiri/ The Contention Form,
This made for lightsaber to lightsaber combat. This is pretty much space fencing. Count Dooku is renknown for his skill with it.

>Form III: Soresu/Way of the Mynock/The Resilience Form

The fighting style made to combat blasters. It's useful for deflecting blaster bolts and having a solid defense. Mace Windu has commented that Obi-Wan is a master of this form.

>Form IV:Ataru, the Way of the Hawk-Bat/The Aggression Form

This an aggressive specializing in 1v1 combat.by utilizing force assisted manuevers. It's flaw lies in confined spaces and prolonged combat. Qui-Gon and Yoda primarily used this form

>Form V:Shien amd Djem/The Way of the Krayt Dragon/The Perseverance Form
This is an aggressive form of fighting uses the oppenents own blows against the, counterattacks and overall physical superiority. This is Anakin's favored form.

>Form: VI:Niman, the Way of the Rancor/the Moderation Form/the Diplomat's Form
This is a hybrid style of fighting. It's primarily focused on basic manuevers and implementing basic force techniques. This fighting style doesn't have any distinct advantages or disadvantages. This is the form usually for double-bladed sabers and dual wielding sabers. Almost anyone decent with it died on the Arena in Genosis though this is the fighting style for the Grand Inquisitor

>Form VII: Vapaad/Juyo /the Way of the Vornskr/ the Ferocity Form
The the Jedi only learn the first six. The seventh is made to kill. The user sacrafices defense for aggression. This leaves some vulnerable for force attacks. Mace Windu made a ariant of it where he taps into the darkside to fuel his attacks. This was also Maul's.
>>

>>
>>89029831
the "inscrutable" part was key, in fact it's debatable whether or not the Force has a genuine will/consciousness at all, or if it's just an energy that flows through everything like Ki. giving it a face and a personality is a terrible idea.

>>
>>89029868
This is more or less what happened. The Geonosians made the initial designs, but the Empire basically had different research departments fine-tuning different aspects of it. Galen's department was mainly kyber research for the weapon, at least at first. He thought Krennic and the Empire were going to use his research for energy and when he caught on that they were weaponizing it, that's when he fled.

>>
>>89029966
To be fair, they knew they wanted the weapon to kyber-based. It wasn't so much that they didn't know what weapon to use and more a case of them factoring a weapon that was theoretically possible but they didn't quite know how to pull it off.
>>
>>89029966
that happens a lot in real life
people come up with a sweet concept, but either the technology isnt good enough, or there is a serious drawback nobody knows how to solve

galen apparently worked on the reactor as well as the laser, so maybe he had figured out how to contain the energy without exploding and then making it explode anyways

The choreographers clearly have trouble putting jedi in fights without making the jedi fuck up everywhere, but Obi Wan gets it the worst. There's also a pretty pathetic scene in that one episode where they have to protect a group of farmers where Anakin can't even deal with Hondo in a fight.
>>
>>89032415
I'd love a Dooku movie, but I imagine the only way they'd go for it is if they can market it as a Yoda movie and have Dooku as a secondary character rather than the main character
>>
>>89032441
Yeah, Dooku doesn't seem too popular among anyone at Lucasfilm and I think Disney would be wary about making a movie about a character who doesn't have a huge fandom like Han or Boba.

I could see them jumping at the idea of a Yoda movie though, and if we're lucky they'd throw Dooku in. It'd be a good time period for Yoda, too- slightly younger than we've seen him before but not enough to be drastically different, both visually and personality-wise.

So, if the Sith hid in secrecy for over a thousand years using the rule of two, thought extinct by the Republic, what alternative factions would Dark Jedis and other dark side users join and turn to during the 1000 year period? Clearly there are other dark side of the force groups that could be become influential and powerful and be seen as potential successors to the Sith during the power gap era.

If we can stop meming for a second, let's talk for real about lightsaber assisted flying.

How did the creators imagine it would work?
First of all, let's look at the very basics of aviation. When using a propeller, the blades have to be curved in such a way that they catch the wind and force it backwards, thereby pulling the plane forwards.

A propeller made from two cylindrical rods would not be able to pull or push the air, and thus creates no down-draft with which to lift the craft and/or person.
Force powers can push and pull things within limited range, but they cannot (as far as I know) create wind, and even if they could there would be nothing for the wind to catch onto.

Additionally, as the blade of a lightsaber is made up of laser, one has to question how they would be able to catch the wind at all. Granted the kyber crystals produce a very solid state of laser, but the blades have never been shown affected by wind, rather it is the hilt that is pushed from people's hands when this does happen.
So you have a double-bladed lightsaber with a propeller-like configuration, but no way for them to catch wind and create upwards motion.

Even in-universe, there are rules regarding gravity and flight. Sci-fi settings especially need some laws of physics to make us believe spaceships can fly but people can't.
So the question is, why, how and where did this idea even come up?
>>
>>89033011
in cartoon land, spinning flight
>>
>>89033011
>why, how and where did this idea even come up?
Disney's marketing department because they need to sell toys.

In Universe: Vader,Sheev and even Grand Inky didn't expect them to fly with it. They told them that they couldn't be expected to hunt down Jedi until they mastered technique. They made it a group effort and to conjure up some ingenuity with the Force to pull it off. Vader allows them to roam around with helicopter sabers because he finds it amusing

I hope they share more going on. The sequels are probably a lot harder to do this with, being so much further in the future, however I guess the space owl rumor, if true, shows they're still doing what they can. It'll be interesting to see what they can push.

JJ is a special kind of dumbass. I mean he just does things because apparently why not regardless of whether it actually makes sense. Hey, everyone can see a beam shooting in space light years away because it's more dramatic! Apparently even HEAR it (since it was the sound that the script says made Finn look up - that's some hyperspace effect!). Maz? Don't need her anymore, might as well just have her disappear from the movie, dopety-dopety-doh. Nevermind that the absence heavily implies she dies when she vanishes in the middle of a pitched battle that saw the capture of all the heroes until Poe shows up.

Whelp don't need Maz anymore. Whelp Finn doesn't need that gun Han gave him anymore. Whelp Threepio doesn't need the red arm anymore. Whelp don't need Poe anymore.

Apparently he couldn't even find a reason for her to travel to the Resistance Base. Nevermind the FO just destroyed her home she's got that Force mojo and why wouldn't she not want to see if Rey picks up her destiny or not?

Who knows. Maybe she had a decent insurance policy on her castle and they'll find her blowing it all at the casino planet.

Sucks that the Hammerhead that took out two Star Destroyers in Rogue One was destroyed. I guess spaceships don't exactly have a reverse (okay some have retro rockets along with stabilizers) and once you've wedged yourself into a Star Destroyer at full sublight you're stuck for the ride.

Still it's one more notch on the movie's depression meter. I guess Phoenix Squad doesn't need to exist as an entity after being rolled into the Alliance so we can't quite count this as a loss for them, but screw that. It's still one of their ships now and it's still a Rebel loss.

Plus I know someone who claims Sato is doomed since Hera is promoted to general, but I can't see that meaning anything if Phoenix just becomes part of the bigger Alliance fleet. I think it's kind of weird she's promoted to an army rank rather than a navy one, given she's a star pilot and all, but whatever, so was Han.
>>

I suppose it's possible that maybe Phoenix Squadron grows to handle more than just being a starfleet. 'Till now, the only field group they had was the Ghost crew. Perhaps when the Rebel Alliance is formed and Sato dies, Phoenix Squadron gets an actual soldier branch and thus justifies Hera's promotion to General.

Everyone wants Sato dead. Do we really want Iron Squad kid to step up?
>>
>>89033729

From what I remember, girl and boy discover tree that is the progenitor of the Force. Girl learns to use the Force from the tree. Boy leans to use the Force from girl. Girl and boy grow up, girl teaches more people, boy becomes jealous or someshit and makes the Dark Side. Kills girl. Girl's followers eventually become the Jedi, boy becomes the first Sith. Girl reincarnates every 1000 or so years and Anakin might have been one of her reincarnates but Rey is 100% her reincarnate and has to eliminate the Dark Side to bring peace or some bullshit.

Yeah, it doesn't really mesh with that's been established with how the Force works.

I don't see where it is 100% incompatible, even though there are individual parts of it that certainly are. The idea of a tree that is somehow connected deeply to the Cosmic Force isn't that much of a stretch, we've got special Force Trees already. Damned if we know what makes them special, exactly.

We also know certain locations are naturally strong in the Force and moreso that some areas actually allow for the spread of Midi-Chlorians, and thus life energy, into the galaxy. And we have places like Jedha said to have been where one of the first civilizations to explored the nature of the Force lived.

Not that I'm trying to defend this. I don't mind it as a legend, a children's story of events that may hold some degree of truth. I don't think it diminishes the nature of the Force. The idea of reincarnation sounds bunko but sure if the Force wanted to I guess it could. If it can cram a baby into Shmi I suppose it could crap out a soul it ate a long time ago in a treehouse far far away. Not really sure what the point would be beyond sound ooooOoOOoOooo mystical and shit. So spoopy.

Frankly what it does to the Jedi and Sith reducing their origins to squabbling kids is fairly shite. But, sure, good enough if it's just, you know, a kids story. "You were my brother, The Sith, I loved you! We were supposed to push each other on the tree swing, not leave the leaves in darkness!" "I HATE YOU!"

Mind you I think the whole rumor is bunk, just analyzing it as an idea.

Blockade Runners don't do so bad for themselves. Two twin turbolaser turrets and four single turbolaser turrets.

Singles are clearly better protecting the flanks but the twins should do okay as long as the upper doesn't take out the radar dish. I get where you're coming from. If a TIE can ride near to the back engines it'd be hard to target, but ships like the Ghost do fine (even when the Phantom isn't docked which reduces their rear firepower).

At least the canon Hammerheads have a rear gun to match the two on the front.

Yes, it fucking diminishes it.
There's a reason why in horror, you avoid showing the bad guy as long as possible, and why you never reveal his origins as much as possible, or explain his capabilities in detail.

There's a subtlety lost , a mystery lost, when you try to explain how things work, specially if you set it up as a mystery, that's wonderful, and rich and magical. The Force was set up as this great, and amazing thing, that binds us, surrounds us, and that's it. Yes, maybe there's creation myths, somewhere in different cultures, but you could leave that to scholars and not be official canon.

Directly explaining REY to be some Force Goddess reincarnation and then ALSO have to explain the root of all the Force and all existance? It just ruins the elegance and wonder. It's why midichlorians are horrible.

You dont reveal things that ruin the wonder.Sure , you might think it explains the setting, but it just ruins things.

Leave good things alone. Dont break functioning shit.

I don't even like the Force tree bullshit, but come on. I'm sure you hated Mortis and the Yoda arc too.

TTT didn't "fuck up canon"? And what about ysalamiri? Besides, of course it didn't mess with the Force, because it didn't even delve in it. TTT was a tremendous achievement in terms of political worldbuiling, but it was awfully unambitious otherwise. The OT trio, aside from Leia, didn't really move anywhere, the Force wasn't explored in any way, and the plot really was centered just on another "warlord of the week wants to restore the Empire" conflict that just happened to have an antagonist who wasn't shit.
>>
So did any Seperatist units end up in the Rebel Alliance? You'd figure the young Rebellion would take any help that they could get. And the Seperatists did have those massive Trade Federation battleships.
>>
>>89034052
No offense but you sound like the people who flipped their shit when they first heard about Midi-Chlorians.

Given we know Luke is looking for the First Jedi Temple ostensibly for secrets which will likely include origins of the Jedi and very probably the Sith, you're going to need to expect some degree of revelation.

Besides, you're overstating this reincarnation bit. Goddess is a bit much. The myth of the eternal hero is as old as the concept as a hero born of a virgin.

Frankly I think reincarnation is unnecessary but then virgin birth for Anakin did too. I just rolled with it.

>>
>>89034102
I personally believe that the 'Warlord of the Week Wants to Restore the Empire", was wonderfully done, and it gave us a villain that was interesting, and not a horrible caricature of a Evil Villain. Thrawn was smart, and was merciful with his soldiers, and not some overgrown hateful baby- and his men loved him.You actually wanted him to win, and became conflicted, because you also wanted Luke and his team to win. There was a lot of conflict going on with Han, and Leia, and so much going on- actual world building, without relying on tired, bullshit magical world development about Gods, midicholorians- we at most got a tease about the Emperor's abilities, and how Ysamiliri could nerf a jedi.

>>89034105
Respectfully, it's shit.
You dont bring back a near dead franchise, and immediately start blowing your load with shit about Gods and Force Goddesses, and World Creations myths and shit. It's Star Wars, not FORCE WARS. I hated the whole virgin birth thing about Anakin too, yo.

I didnt roll with it, though,I chose to call it crap- although, I do like the idea of Darth Plagueis being responsable for Anakin's life.
>>
>>89034134
If that were true they could have just quietly never mentioned them again. TCW laid it out fairly straight and explained the whole mechanics of the dual nature of the Force (Cosmic and Living, that is, not Light and Dark). I can't see the Storygroup feeling any need to hide it, but we'll see.

Besides, it isn't like they weren't fully capable of making goofball decisions as is. Did we really need a super duper third Death Star? It wasn't even nostalgia, they straight up made a clone army out of plot points from the OT. It is certainly possible they could make a new midi-chlorians moment. People are STILL bitching about the Skywalker sword having new powers to summon Rey (I don't know why they don't just think it was the Force). Or Rey. Just Rey. Learning Mind Tricks, kicking trained Force dudes. I'm sure you've noticed the totally friendly discussions about her.

>So did any Seperatist units end up in the Rebel Alliance?

Doubt it. The rebel alliance's proper name is The Alliance to Restore The Republic. The CIS were out to be separate from (or in some cases, destroy) the Republic. The only kind of folks who were with the CIS joining the rebellion are reprogrammed droids or assholes who were in it for war glory (Grievous and Trench). Die-hard believers of the CIS cause would, I think, very likely NOT side with the rebellion.

Cassian was a former Seppie.

Though he's too young to really remember what the Republic was like pre-war. I guess for the younger generation - child soldiers and children of people who were active in the Separatist cause - the war is one and the same. The Republic that ruined their families and homeworlds was always the Empire for them and they aren't fighting to restore the Republic per se.
>>
>>89034257
That's a fair assessment, but at the same time I want to disbelieve you. Because TFA, for all its faults, DID play it extremely safe. I want to think that they can try something that will leave a huge impact on the fabric of Star Wars and not just be a standard very safe ride until the FO and Snoke are of course defeated. I do think they'll keep trying not to make a Jar Jar moment as much as possible.

I think with TFA and R1 having done so well they might feel more emboldened. I still think it was gutsy to wipe out all the new characters in R1 and clearly Edwards felt he might get a note form Disney at any moment telling him to cut the bloodbath. Some people didn't like that level of gritty bleakness but it clearly hasn't hurt them at the box office.

China was a disappointment but in many respects not much of a surprise.

I wouldn't worry. I recall starwars.com did a ship poll awhile back. Falcon pretty much crushed it as expected, but quite a few people here preferred the Ghost. Sure the Falcon gets all the cool scenes, it's iconic! But the Ghost manages to hold its own and really it just feels like a home. It feels a lot more personable, and I guess we have spent a lot of time there ourselves in a way. If you want to crush the Kessel Run record or make the Empire look like chumps (most of the time) go with the Falcon. If you want a ship you wouldn't mind crashing in between missions and enjoy some space waffles, the Ghost ain't too shabby.

KOTOR people feel the same about the Ebon Hawk since they've invested so much time in it.
>>
>>89034324
Agreed with the rumor, it cannot possibly be any more BS than it already is. Maybe as an in-universe fairy tale. As long as it doesn't go all surreal and end up like Ghost Hand. Not knocking the Ghost Hand, it's just a story that wound up all too real in its way. Anakin wasn't actually sending out a super stretch arm that devoured Padme or whatever. Pablo says they're still following the general outline Lucas left.

Episode 7 was heavily changed from Lucas's original vision, but the general outline of the rest of the trilogy is the same.

Its true that Lucasfilm approved or at least compromised with JJ though, to have JJ's decisions for TFA actually get made.

Whether 8-9 are closer to Lucas's presumably more original ideas though, we'll have to wait and see.

So what the other anon said about the rest of the ST being damage control is kind of true, because they now how to work with what they let JJ do.

Based on Dave Filoni, Amy Henning, and Gareth Edwards all saying in interviews last year that their main focus was to show off stuff we haven't seen done before, I think it is a very strong sentiment at Lucasfilm that JJ dun goofed.

>>
>>89035393
>I think it is a very strong sentiment at Lucasfilm that JJ dun goofed.
I disagree.
TFA "playing it safe" was something that Lucasfilm wanted. They knew they needed nostalgia and simple setting to bring in the biggest number of people to see the movie, and get them invested in the characters. It's just the way extended stories are done. Once you have the general public in on it then you can do crazy new things and show off a bunch of stuff.

And ultimately, any blame that anyone wants to give Abrams does squarely have to be set on Lucasfilm as a whole. They're the ones that kept on trying to get him, even after he refused it.

Do you feel the same way about Sherlock Holmes? What about Grimm fairytales that have gotten their own version from another group? Tarzan stories? Oz stories? Tolkien's works?

The original intent of the creator no longer matters when they sell off their rights to it or enters the public domain. To cling to that idea just ends up making you sound like "not muh" guys and EU fags. Instead embrace the influx of new ideas that can take the work in a new direction and foster a new appreciation for the world and characters in it.
>>
>>89035490
Same.

George IS Star Wars, if you know what I mean. He was the creator, writer, producer, director in the films to varying degrees. He is what makes Star Wars, Star Wars. I feel bad for the guy, the idiotic fan boys were too harsh on him for the Prequels. Only Star Wars films with Lucas at the helm will be Star Wars films to me.

When I think of new Star Wars, it's like "This is X's idea for a Star Wars sequel/prequel" not "This is THE Star Wars sequel/prequel."

I basically consider her the same way I do Boba Fett in ESB.

Not really. Only for the Sabine episodes at most

When you consider that Filoni has overseen about 150 episodes of Star Wars tv, and most of it has been absolutely solid and welcome additions to the franchise, you can certainly understand why the fanbase is very loving and trusting of him. He clearly learned well from George.

He is certainly not in charge of pushing special effect technology, although he was known for taking advantage of the most recent tech at the time, but he never built his stories around this. Almost entirely the contrary)
>>
are the Jedi sworn to celibacy?
>>
>>89035962
Actually no.

Yes, we will eventually get some Boba stories, but;

>Do I think it will be as plentiful as the EU?
Nope

>Do I think they're going to make Boba as overly powerful or overly important as the EU?
Nope

Lucasfilm has handled Boba, a character I over-wise don't even really like, decently well.

I think we were all worried that Boba was going to be shoehorned to cash-in on the normies who are back into Star Wars. But he got no comic, and had no part in them aside from like 2 issues near the start. No books, no sign of him ever appearing in Rebels, and they're permanantly removed any connection to his family being Mandalorian so they aren't even going to run with that like they did in EU.

So contrary to the idea that they would milk Boba like a cash cow, it looks like Lucasfilm aren't really using him because they don't have any interesting stories to tell with him yet.

When asked about if he survived the Sarlacc in canon, Pablo said only if they end up coming up with a really good story worth telling, but otherwise, don't wait on it.

And Aftermath implies (but doesn't explicitly confirm) Boba died from the Sarlacc.

I'm sure Boba will be back eventually, either in Rebels, or a surprise post-RotJ comic or something, but for now they don't seem too bothered about him, and I doubt he'll ever get the attention that some people are expecting.

Of course, you could be pointed towards Trank, and how he said he was preparing to do a Boba movie before he """""""""quit"""""""", but we otherwise have no sign that Boba movie ever existed, or ever will.

(Worth noting that if the 3rd Anthology movie IS a Boba one, then it was the last movie pitch Lucas made, according to Pablo, so it would be following the development Boba had already given Boba in TCW and AotC. Not saying its a bad thing, it's just interesting to me. The comics that featured Boba already did seem to be following much closer to TCW Boba than anything in the EU)

>>
>>89036570
Basically Force Dieties.

Watch the Mortis Arc.

Anakin meets The Father, Son, and Daughter, living embodiment of the Balance of the Force, the unstable threatening Dark Side, and the serene Light Side.

In the Arc, the Father tells Anakin that he is in fact the Chosen One, and he is going to have to bring Balance to the Force. He metaphorically does this by taming both the Son and the Daughter in their beast forms. Then the Father dies, forshadowing the immenent fall of the Jedi, and imbalance in the Force.

It's one of the trippiest stories in all of Star Wars, straight from the mind of Lucas, but its echoes are still impacting the franchise to this day. Twilight of the Apprentice was full of allusions and connections back to Mortis Arc.

It's also just a really entertaining arc to watch.

But yeah, living embodiment of the Light Side has already been done.

What we dont know is how many Celestial beings there are. Was it just those three? Is Bendu one? Snoke?

Its a huge aspect of the lore of Star Wars and the Force that is still shrouded in mystery.

They MIGHT have been able to compete with Starkiller Base. But they shit the bed with that. They lost their shot at being anywhere near the Sith.

That was confirmed by Pablo to be bullshit. He never comments on rumors because he doesn't want to spoil people but he commented on this one so that means it's 100% bullshit. Also Snoke practices both the light and dark side so that already confirms this is fake.

Probably. They made a prop for it while making Episode 7 but they ended up not using it.

Looks nice; fast and agile with a fairly small profile. A bit like a one-off hero Avenger as far as role is concerned.

No they're not. I do think they're valid interpretations but if there were actual implications we wouldn't be having this discussion.

but we're talking about harry horse face and Adam Driver.

The sith were an old man and a cripple with heavy breathing issues.

Said old man had such cunning that he managed to fool an entire intergalactic society to hand over all executive power to him, and that cripple was more physically capable than you'll ever be. They were both the most powerful of their order, two of the most powerful Force wielders to have ever lived, were directly responsible for creating the biggest well of the Dark Side and had direct control over 98% of the known galaxy.

No other Dark Side adherent group has ever come close to that.

>The asteroid scene

As far as scenes go being what they are just for the music, the asteroid field is my favorite.

So, I just caught up with Rebels, saw the mid season trailer and I'm hype as fuck.

One question though, is the Empire really using that TIE Interceptor with an aditional panel?

It looks really dumb.
>>
>>89038161
Yes they really are using the TIE Defender. Once the factory making them gets destroyed in the season finale we hopefully won't have to worry about them anymore.

>Disliking the Defender
Bad taste.
>>
>>89029590
Rey wouldn't make sense as the embodiment of the Light Side because she showed some Dark Side tendencies in the Kylo fight.
>>
>>89038283
I never played the games they were in, so I have no reason to base interest in them off of nostalgia. They look fucking stupid.

But Anon, every TIE looks stupid.

The Defender is a fairly big deal. Unlike the usual TIE models, the Defender has shielding and hyperdrives, making it one of the greatest starfighters in the Galaxy.
