Perfect circle eyes, the eyelids are straight lines, the mouth is always basically the same, and their movements are limited to arm lifts and head bobs and blinking most of the time. The backgrounds are plain color almost constantly, and the plots are straightforward and boring. The voice actors have been doing this so long that even when they raise or lower their voice to emphasize their emotion it's still done in a way where you can just hear them talking in the recording booth sitting back looking at the script.

Like that episode people were talking about where you could hear sipping of a drink at the end of their line soundbite (except it was just something in the background of the episode happening) except real.
