I usually hate all that "lel so RAMDUM" and "LOOK HAW STUPID WE IS" which the show seems to be full of, but it could just be a first impression, or it may have changed throughout the show. What am I going to find, anyway?

If you're looking for something epic and story-driven, look somewhere else. If you're looking for a damn fun show with similarly fun characters, it is definitely worth watching.

Hell, it's worth watching no matter what you're looking for.

it doesn't change much, you but get used to its ways and start appreciating it. apparently this show has some kind of entrance point, when you'll even get used to the intro jingle

It was okay at first. Things really got going with Season 2 and Dominator's introduction.

Its use of basic aspects of animation like color and shape are sometimes brilliant and the basic foil relationship between Wander and Sylvia is robust. A cartoon doesn't have to have SEEPEST PORE to be worth watching.

One thing is that due to it being cancelled, the running plot of Wander trying to befriend Lord Hater never gets resolved one way or the other.

See, you're part of the main problem why WOY was cancelled in the first place. You're probably more into deeper, angstier cartoons and refused to give a shit about this show--created by CRAIG McCRACKEN, might I add--until the Amazing Lord Dominator showed up. But by then, Disney had already made their final decision regarding the show's fate based on its first season's poor performance.

Disney really fucked over the show, though. CMcC actually wanted to make WOY a serialized animated series from the beginning, but he had to make a compromise and wait until Season 2 to actually try any of that out.

OP here. Watched some episodes during this thread. Sincerely, it isn't really catching me so far. I kinda like Hater and Wander, don't like Sylvia, but the show itself is really not making me hooked. I'll try to watch everything, tho.

Yes, when I first saw it on Disney I thought it was a terrible, stupid, kids cartoon. One day though I got bored and began to watch it since I've seen it mentioned here. After awhile I found that the character is more of a person than some stupid over exaggerated punch line. In one episode they even make an allusion to this when there are children telling tall tale myths of the main character wander.

I would give it a second shot anon, but it might not be your cup of tea. I think one of the big driving forces for me watching it was to do with the fact that Wander's helpful, altruistic attitude reminded me of my ex.

Lord Hater and Commander Peepers are my favorite characters.

Sylvia always came off as an annoying tom boy to me.

The first episode I watched was about Wander trying to get a soda from a gas station and the shenanigans that happened there. Kind of put me off from the show. But I caught a few more episodes, and it really won me over.

The characters really drive the show along, and each of them is really dynamic and enjoyable, especially as the show goes on. I know everyone seems to go on and on about Dominator, but really Lord Hater was what made the show for me.

Holy fuck I'm glad you got me to rewatch The Date. I somehow missed an implied sex joke. There's a scene that's zoomed up on Sylvia's head bobbing with an unsatisfied frown while it sounds like bed springs are squeaking, before it's revealed that they're actually in bumper cars.

Wander Over Yonder is truly the pinnacle of human entertainment.
