ITT: cartoons ruined by awful art style
>>88990019
Okay.
All the Lego cartoons. They could be the best thing ever, but I'd never watch them

>fan art
What did he mean by this?
>>88990019
>ITT Every marvel animated tv series besides the spider-man ones.
>Especially the Avengers ones.
>>88990115
you're a fucking faggot.
>>88990115
Objectively incorrect

I thought I was the only one. Seriously, Clone Wars and Rebels art style looks two ovals away from being a tech demo for the next Lego Star Wars game.
Are we counting CGI as "art style"? Because this show probably would've been better received if it was 2D.

Is this supposed to prove him wrong? Because I don't see it.

Yes

>dissing Sean Galloway's artstyle
You and me 'bout to fight cuhz.
>>88990115
Great style that proved too difficult for the animation studio to pull off, and they didn't follow his color guide either.
This is one of the few cartoons which would have looked better in Flash or 2.5D like the PPG Dance Pantsed special.

This wasn't terrible. It just had the misfortune of coming out right after Mystery Inc.

I liked The Clone Wars art style, it wasn't perfect (I always thought the super battle droids looked like shit, and not all characters worked with the style), but it worked most of the time.
Rebels just looks like ass all the time, and the ship battles are embarrassing.

>But we're referencing the concept art!
Yeah, and that's why it was concept art. To concey a concept that could be improved on.
It felt even blockier than Clone Wars. I understand why they would exaggerate the humans a bit, to avoid the uncanny valley, but why do the Storm Troopers look like they were made by Seth Macfarlane? Why do the aliens look like they're from the later Ratchet and Clank games? Also, thin lightsabers are not cool.

I should really proofread

I disagree. While I ordinarily hate the whole "Western Anime" look in general, I thought it fit Voltron perfectly, as the original show was literally a westernized Anime. LD just takes the original spirit to it's logical conclusion

>"Yeah, we're excited to do less well known villains like Professor Pyg, Magpie, and Anarky."
>Professor Pyg is totally unlike his comic form and the Pygmalion reference is absent thus making his name little more than Pig misspelled. His motives are identical to Poison Ivy, only with animals instead of plants.
>Magpie is literally Catwoman mixed with Two Face
>Anarky is literally the Joker mixed with the villain from Incredibles
The only thing good about it was Katana and Alfred.

>His motives are identical to Poison Ivy, only with animals instead of plants.
>Magpie is literally Catwoman mixed with Two Face
These are wrong, though. Pyg and Toad are quickly established to be psychotic assholes who use the "animal rights" thing as a flimsy excuse to wreak shit.
Magpie's split personality doesn't play a role after her initial appearance and is more like her comic book self for the rest of the show.

That show was DOA because it was received as "we cancelled Young Justice and Green Lantern to bring you more Batman instead"
