I remember Atrocitus being overhyped in his book about the role he'd have in the final showdown and then the Rage Heart's resolution or whatever that artifact was called was underwhelming even for the book itself.
Why was Milligan so uninspired in his every new52 book? /co/ is starting to go the contrarian way again and claim that new52 started good but really they forget how many books aisde for a few chosen ones were just there and told little to no story

You dropped them just before they got really good.
The plots Soule set up of Guy running the Reds coming together + Bunn embracing the Smugnestro instead of fighting it made them very entertaining books. Godhead was a piece of shite though, if mostly for the New Gods parts (+not!Galactus again) rather than the Lanterns.

True True, I remember they had to fight at the sourcewall so they could push the guards at the wall and theyd "die". I really hate how some of the GLs are pretty dumb like in the early corps John and Guy were fighting an army that were unaffected by the ring but they kept blasting them with it. They didnt scoop up rocks and try to hit them with it like silver age GL books and that was the issue that made me realize why Hal was the best GL.

Putting aside how badly Carol has been character assasinated repeatedly, I think the crux of her relationship with Hal is that what she wants and what she thinks she should want are two very different things. Carol does want Hal, but the things that she actually finds attractive in him are not the things she thinks she should want. So, she tries to change Hal to be what she thinks she should want in a partner, but by doing so, she is also erasing the things that actually draw her to Hal.

Oh yeah, Arisia was saying Hal would be ruining her life if he didn't get together with her. But that would hit Hal extra hard if he was already feeling like he had ruined Carol's life. At that point, Hal was still very much emotionally attached to Carol, he even says so to Arisia to explain how he doesn't want to start anything with her. So there is Hal, feeling guilt over having ruined things for the woman he has romantic love for, having the girl he feels platonic affection for declare Hal is going to ruin HER life, too. Hal would be that much more likely to try jump to try to not be the reason Arisia's life is ruined.
