From:
http://vintagegeekculture.tumblr.com/post/155552054408/a-star-wars-trading-card-featuring-members-of
>A Star Wars trading card featuring members of Yoda’s unknown alien race at prayer.

>Very little is known about the race Yoda belongs to, but since the only examples of the species we ever see are wise, serene Jedi masters (there’s never one just standing about in the background in a spaceport scene, for instance), it’s reasonable to assume they are a peaceful, spiritual, live monastic lives, and never leave their homeworld. It’s doubtful they even have technology or space travel…and if they do, use them sparingly.

>George Lucas made it a policy to never show Yoda’s species. I guess it’s for the same reason that J.R.R. Tolkien added Tom Bombadil and never explained who he was, since in Tolkien’s words, “there should be some mysteries of a world unknown even to the creator.” For instance, the trading card above caused Lucasfilm to pulp the entire run to get it out of circulation. If George Lucas had a story idea behind Yoda’s race, we’ll never know it now, since he sold Star Wars and has no input on the projects.

>Anecdotally, I remember that in the days before the internet was a thing, and every kid was obsessed with Star Wars, there was a bit of folklore going around on my playground that Yoda was actually from a race of giants, but as they get older, they get smaller. Who knows how things like that get started?

>>

Well the first and most obvious reason is that CGI encourages the animators to make the models move as life-like as they can. In a franchise where keeping everything equally canon to the Live-Action media, this is important to make the cartoons feel like a believable part of the Star Wars universe. Stylized 2d animation wouldn't work as effectively.

But to my original point, Filoni explained that when they started making TCW, Lucas instructed him to direct the episodes as if it was real, live-action Star Wars, not a cartoon.

The rooms, and locations? They're the sets, you build them, you build them properly. The character models? They're the actors, you treat them as actors, you direct them to appropriately make use of the sets you've built.

Also, just to extend that information, having actual sets and models being built means you can reuse them. Genndy's cartoon wasn't particularly flashy, and two seasons of the 2003 cartoon amounted to just 2 hours of footage. Meanwhile TCW and Rebels have about 150 22 minute long, incredibly high quality full episodes. They look better, and offer way more content, and part of that is literally because you can work so much faster, and produce so much more, with CGI.

Don't get me wrong, 2D animation can be pretty (albiet very limited, just look at the limited amount of artstyles, especially the more common and expected ones. Any 3D production worth a damn can put in significant effort to have a completely original aesthetic. Look at TCW for example, I can't think of a single other show of movie with that wonderful handpainted marionette-looking artstyle)

It's just for Star Wars, I can't imagine any animated show working half as well as the CGI shows do, even if you could get something pretty, like that TIE Fighter fan video.

Their canon heights are also not that far apart. Krennic is 1.8 meters. Tarkin is 1.85 meters. That's a two inch difference mostly explained by Tarkin being an inch higher than Cushing is according to the wiki.

Best answer I can give you is that no armor in Star Wars really stops blaster fire. Some can resist better than others, and Stormtrooper armor is just cheap because it needs to be so mass produced. Plus they never expected Stormtroopers to actually have to fight in a war.
>>
>>88971541
stormtrooper armor is space kevlar, it stops light blaster hits at medium range, and shrapnel, so a hit from a rifle will sting like the dickens, and probably kill you

if you look closely, stormtroopers only die to direct hits, while the black-helmeted security guard die to hits on nearby walls

I always had a headcanon of my own that Yoda's species where usually very chaotic and animalistic, more like gremlins like how we see Yoda's dark side. As such the fact Yoda is a wise Jedi is no small feat, and the fact we don't see more of them is that they probably get killed if they ever sneak into spaceships, being more of a small nuisance than a threat

That is a very well thought out headcanon. I would be 100% accepting of it, if it was ever to be made canon.
>>
>>88971371
>CGI encourages the animators to make the models move as life-like as they can.
This implies that 2D artists are not encouraged to have their characters move in a lifelike fashion, which is a really stupid idea. If the goal is life like animation, then the animators would attempt to have the characters move as lifelike as possible. That's why techniques like rotoscoping were invented, and was actually one of the biggest detriments for 3D animation, the fact that animators simply could not get the animation as lifelike as they could with 2D, since the technology and skill base simply wasn't there. Both medias are perfectly capable to lifelike animation, and this has been shown many times over in both.

>Lucas instructed him to direct the episodes as if it was real, live-action Star Wars, not a cartoon.
This is also something that can easily be done in a 2D animation, and is something pointed out in the great movie Paprika, which has a movie making subplot in it, and in it's explanation of various cinematography techniques reveals that the movie itself was set up as though it was a normal real life production. Settings were set up and designed with what the entire area would look like, rather than just a simple background being made for each shot.

What's mret distressing is that you've completely missed one of 3D's greatest strengths in your argument. 3D will always beat out 2D when it comes to textures and intricate detail that needs to be repeated and moved and seen in various ways. Any kind of texture on anything will always be able to be more heavily designed in 3D than 2D simply because it would be easier to animate it.

Which is funny because Rebels does away with a lot of the texturing that was done with TCW.
>>
>>88971655
>Krennic didnt invent them, anon

Could've fooled me, considering they don't appear in any media that doesn't feature Krennic :^)
>>
>>88971541
listen here maggot, only 15% of battle casualties originate from direct blaster hits, the rest come from shrapnel from turbo laser blasts and artillery strikes, which armor can stop reliably

you could wear armor that stops a direct hit from a blaster rifle, but then it would be so heavy you couldnt move, so its better to dress up for the most common threat rather than the worst case scenario

and a casualty is not a fatality, if you are hit without armor you are GG NORE, but if you are hit while wearing armor than you get broken ribs, 3rd degree burns, and a few months at the hospital, but you are not dead

People hated mando and fett fags long ago.
And they're not "ruining" them because before TCW Mandalorians simply didn't exist in canon.
>>
>>88970451
God dammit, their one question to Pablo and is it about Nightsister ghosts? No, it's a Rogue One question but one where they can go, "Tee-hee, we're so connected to the movies!" even though what they are referencing wasn't even directly in Rebels.

Couldn't they have at least done another two-fer question?

Technically they did exist, Boba was always canonically wearing Mandalorian armor. We just didn't know anything about the Mandalorians until TCW.

I know Saw and Rex agreed Kanan is no Skywalker, but what he did in this episode would have made Anakin proud. Easy mode would have just been to levitate Saw and Rex over with the Force and set them down. But no, he wants them to shoot out a bridge, then have him hold it up AND their weight as they scramble across and it crumbles dramatically.

That's at least 3 1/4 Skyguys.

So I just watched the last two episodes of Rebels, I'm starting to sense that the show is getting worse rather than better

I was willing to give it a chance as it took Clone Wars a season and some to really find its comfort zone, but Rebels is nearing the end of its third season and it still seems shoddy. Animation quality isn't any better, the story is still dependent on characters making illogical choices, the villains are still laughable, and what could be great moments are squandered

We just had the main characters explore a pretty much dead world where the most deadly weapon in galactic history has been built, and they spend the majority of the time hunting down "click clack" and fighting the most incompetent imperials yet

How about creating a bit more suspense eh? Give a few more unsettling moments hinting towards what has actually been going on inside of spending time arguing with each other for no reason? The way it ends with the poison canisters is such a let down, would have been much better if the bug led the heroes to a giant mural showing a stylized version of the deathstar, a slowed down and sinister rendition of the imperial march playing as the heroes try to interpret what they are seeing

I think they still managed to make the episode interesting and worthwhile. Geonosians MAY yet survive. They almost had the goods on the Empire for the Senate, playing up that angle which is nice. I hope we get more of the Imperial Senate in the future. Oh and they got a shield generator.

Pity they didn't scoop up any of those Droideka and even had a chance to recruit Klik-Klak as a droid specialist while offering to help protect the egg. Still Geonosis is their home, and we learn that their caverns go even deeper than expected into the ground. There COULD still be other bugs down there somewhere beyond the reach of sensors.

A better question, I think, is why they didn't plan better for accidents in case Master and Apprentice die together. Or the sheer risk of brain drain, by which I mean the Master dying without properly teaching the Apprentice. The new Master is probably not going to be every effective. If that happens too often you end up with most of the best ancient Sith secrets being lost to the ages.

The best protection against this, recording all of your secrets, seems too high a risk in case the Apprentice finds it and deems you superfluous.

To add to this, Lucasfilm is building a huge warehouse of props that can be shared between film, games, tv, etc. All digital means they can spin up set-pieces in minimal time since they have existing models which can be converted to CAD drawings for practical effects, cleaned up and HD textured for film, or simplified and stylized for the TV shows.

Sith Holocron bitches. A holocron is never as good as a real teacher, but it records the knowledge.

But yes, that's why Palpatine can't do a lot of the really bizarre shit Ancient Sith can do. He can do some Alchemy but not to the crazy extent of others, and he can't actually fly or do a lot of other crazy shit. That's because there were a couple of Darths who questioned the ideology or just didn't bother to pass on some of their techniques, or even willingly destroyed information.

A lot of that is why Palpatine relies so often on underlings like Blackhole, the Prophets of the Dark Side, Rokur Gepta. They're dark side guys from other traditions that were weaker or had also degraded from "pure" sith, but could do things he hadn't originally learned.

Nothing.

Like, Billy Dee Williams has been sitting around waiting for the call but Disney decided they don't want him in the future films. He jumped on Rebels immediately, because he always does Lando in everything he can going back to the Jedi Knight games.

Which is why he's actually kind of pissed that they put Donald Glover in. He's been Lando in literally everything Lando appears in that needs so much as a single line of audio. Passing it off to Donald Glover came off as kind of a slap since at least Mark and Carrie have sequel stuff and aren't as attached to their characters besides since other people have played them far more regularly in games.

Being Billy is suffering.

In Jedi Outcast he gets proactive about increased criminal activity on Bespin. He tracked down their leaders and wound up on Nar Shaddaa where he bumps into Kyle and he takes down the mercs with him. The mercs just work for Imperial Remnant and Desann however, so they fly back to Bespin and Lando arranges for security forces to storm the city from the top of the city downward as Kyle works from the lower levels up.

I think the thing that bugs me is everyone BUT Billy got invited to come back. Wedge's actor got invited back but refused. Ackbar made an appearance and it's the same actor even though it's a mask and impressions aren't hard. Daniels and Baker got to be the droids again even though R2 has all of one scene and they can fully automate R2D2 now.

Even if Lando didn't get a big part, they could at least have given him a role in the conference room as a general. If they could find a spot for Fisher's kid, they could find a spot for Billy.

>>88977008

No he could do life gems. I remember distinctly that Vuffi Raa was super surprised to see it was possible and he could do it.

Not that it matters, since nobody seems to use them after the anthology ended. You'd think that Luke would be super interested to hear about artificial crystals that'd directly affect someone's life force and the Emperor would have at least six weapons built around them.
>>
>>88976541
Lando did GREAT in the old Marvel comic, and passibly in Shadows of the Empire which gave him very few actual roles possibly to avoid upsetting Marvel Comics fans by completely overwriting their canon by having Lando be busy the entire six months.

And in Dark Empire yeah they made everyone on the New Republic side aside from Han and Leia a fucking joke. Lando and Wedge managed to get BOTH of the ISD2s captured at Endor shot out from under them (Well, shot out for the first one and forced into a suicidal ramming action that I'm not sure even WORKED for the second one. I'm 50% sure the World Devastator he tried to ram just ate the Impstar.)

Luke, did I ever tell you about the Miraluka? The Miraluka were a Near-Human species that differed from Humans in that they lacked eyes, only retaining vestigial eye sockets, and perceived the environment around them through Force sight instead of regular vision. This vision was so strong that if a Miraluka looked upon a Jedi or Sith, they could "see" Force radiating off them. The strength of a Miraluka's connection to the Force varied by individual. Miraluka, as Near-Humans, could interbreed with baseline humanity. It was said that such mating would result in difficulties for the offspring. They were good friends.

Pablo forgot Catalyst mentioned queens in the plural for Geonosis. Krennic's teams even had to secure a viable queen to supply new workers who later appointed a new archduke to replace Poggle.

I'd like to see them play up how Vader-like he was becoming in Rouge One. More machine than man, a pretty distinctive sound effect for his machine assisted breathing, the wild swings into torture and anger.

If Rogue One had played it better, they could've made a parallel to Vader help explain why he just goes "fuck it, tears in rain, time to die and all that"

At least he sacrifices himself in the end because he knew Jyn's shuttle couldn't escape with his weight onboard.
>>
Who's going to be doing Old Obi Wan's voice for rebels, do we know yet?
>>
>>88979210
Okay, so let me see if I have this straight.

Karina from TCW died in a cave collapse.
Catalyst has a new queen, who is likely killed or sterilized.
Rebels has this queen egg that's going to help repopulate the species.

So for the egg to mean anything at all and not be a completely pointless effort, the queen in Vader can't be from that egg. So that would mean that the queen in the comic is either Karina who somehow survived, or it's the queen from Catalyst. The comic mentions that the queen was sterilized, so I think Catalyst Queen is the most likely candidate.
>>
>>88979506
It's really all Sabine's fault.

"Hey Ezra, I have a jetpack, a lightsaber, a wrist shield, I can afford two guns, and I even have a bondage wipe but don't worry, I'll never try it on you because you still ain't getting in this armored puss."

Five seconds later Ezra goes full Dark Side which is five seconds less than it too Taylor Gray when he learned about it from Dave.
>>
>>88979571
Yes, Stephen Stanton
>>
>>88979598
I think that sounds right.

The other solution is the Comic Queen IS Karina, who lost her egg sack after that cave-in and has just kind of been wandering around going crazy for years, and the other Geonosians stopped obeying her or even paying attention to her since without the ability to lay eggs she was useless to the hive.
>>
>>88979598
I hope you're right.
>>
>>88979598
>>88979689
That queen also appointed another archduke, but we don't learn anything about him and he's probably dead, too.

But hey, maybe Klick Klack will be the new archduke?
>>
>>88979598
This is part of Krennic's speech to recruit Poggle. The book mentions Hive Queen, singular, but we also know there are multiple hives. We know if they aren't kept busy then hives murder each other for fun. Somehow this fucks with the maturity of queens (plural). And we know Archdukes serve the Queen, who apparently needs very specific conditions.

We don't know if there is ever only one queen, though, or if multiple hives have them. The Empire presumably only needed one agreeable to supply them with workers.
>>
>>88979689
>The other solution is the Comic Queen IS Karina, who lost her egg sack after that cave-in and has just kind of been wandering around going crazy for years, and the other Geonosians stopped obeying her or even paying attention to her since without the ability to lay eggs she was useless to the hive.
This would be even funnier if the entire time there's this fully-functioning Geonosian society far deeper underground and Karina's up on the surface attaching droid factories to her ass because she's desperate to preserve a species that she doesn't know is already preserved and doing completely fine without her.
>>
>>88979806
He better be love the little guy he deserves it
>>
>>88979852
This would be hilarious, but my guess is that the new queen will take a while to reach maturity, so during the comic Klick Klack is still deep underground tending to the new queen and waiting for her to mature.

Don't forget about Alderaan. Dragging the bug back for a debriefing would have literally only taken a few days and they could have dropped the bug back off on Geonosis pretty easily.
If they had dragged the Bug in they would have found out about the death star a solid two years before they found out about it in Rogue One. Imagine if the Rebel Alliance had solid information about the Death Star two years before it was operational and started scouring the galaxy for more information. Imagine if Galen found out about it and decided to move up his time table sending a message to the Rebellion.
But noooooooo Ezra thinks the 'nice' thing to do is let the Geonosian out to go do it's thing.

I think her Master was one of the rogue Jedi who roamed the galaxy fixing shit, like the one who died at the beginning of the Utapau arc. Curious how we find the Order was pretty tolerant about rogues as long as they didn't cause any big headaches for the Order, but the moment you so much as think about sticking your penor in someone your entire career is at risk.

We know some of that Archduke's history from a leak when Manny Bothans managed to snag some of Dave's notes. Don't read if you don't want an entire future saga ruined for you:

During the Battle of Kamino (seen in TCWs when 99 died) Ventress had two objectives: secure a sample of the clones genetic template and also technical readouts on Kaminoan cloning technology. This last was a secret objective given to her by Dooku.

While Ventress lost the DNA she managed to escape with the blueprints by hiding the data down her shirt. These were transferred to Geonosis in the hopes that the clever bugs could break the encryption and reverse engineer the proprietary Kaminoan cloning technology.

Towards the end of the war Poggle personally oversaw this project when he returned to Geonosis with Krennic. He transformed the purpose of the program, remaining it Operation: Fuckboi with intent to clone Krennic using stolen DNA from pins they kept hiding in his seat at the arena. The idea was to create an entire servitor class of Republic slaves they could enjoy trolling forever come the ultimate victory of the CIS...a victory that never came.

The new Archduke kept the project hidden from the Empire at the cost of his own life. Fortunately Klik-Klak will find these hidden machines and with his great technical expertise help give rise to a new more bountiful than ever Geonosian society.

Sometimes Wendig has him thinking it was just a rumor, other times he's rather definite on Sidious' powers.

I suppose beyond anyone Mas Amedda was his closest associate, knowing more of his plans than anyone else and retaining power in the Empire even over Vader, at least in terms of bureaucracy. >>
>>88983080
Between a materials analysis of the containers and the substance inside, there is a fair bet it would lead back to the Weapons Division.

You might as well complain about how just because something is called the Death Star and it blows up locations the Empire doesn't like and it's covered in all those Imperial tags isn't proof that the Empire had anything to do with it.

Ah he'll be fine from that. The cruiser happily split so that the Ghost, coming directly from the hole, wasn't impeded. They'll impact on either side.

Though I'm enjoying the idea that the back half the ship remains flight capable as that Imperial captain curses those pesky rebels.
>>

>>
>>88983178
Exactly, it's not concrete proof enough for the Senate to force the empire to allow investigators into geonosis system, but they'll still convince a few people who're willing to believe rebel broadcasts.

>>88983190
Those shots didn't do too much damage, if there was a turn there it wouldn't cause too much trouble.
>>
>>88983178
>faked
So someone created fake canisters? And the bigs all hopped on a bus to vacation on nearby sunny Tatooine? Holy shit, we have our first Genosian Genocide Denier.

The thing is we're aware of Imperial weapons tests coming under fire in the Senate already. The disrupters that destroyed Zeb's world didn't involve any formal complaint from the survivors. They were still outlawed weapons.

If you find imperial weapons on Geonosis filled with a substance that can be chemically traced to planetary dispersal, then that's pretty damning. Especially considering those canisters found were probably not the sole producer of a planetary holocaust. You can't exactly safely tidy up a crime scene the size of a planet. A Senate investigation will turn up evidence you missed.
>>
>>88983219
>Exactly, it's not concrete proof enough for the Senate to force the empire to allow investigators into geonosis system, but they'll still convince a few people who're willing to believe rebel broadcasts.
Bail seemed confidant that the canisters could have been proof. The pictures taken of them, however, may lead more planets to join the Rebellion.
>>
>>88983219
>Those shots didn't do too much damage, if there was a turn there it wouldn't cause too much trouble.
They dropped like 9 bridges and half a mountain , followed by the burning cruiser(at least half of which is going into that hall) all those things dropped from height of 20-40 story building. are you going to tell me that its not likely that the impacts produced enough damage that it collapsed a few underground tunnels?

Enough jokes about her eyes, give us a source
>>
>>88983226
Clearly the Free Ryloth Movement destroyed Geonosis in retaliation for Separatist occupation. Or the infamous rebel Saw Gerrera engineered the planetary apocalypse. The Empire would NEVER occupy a world and gut if or resources and murder the inhabitants!

Yep, this story holds together perfectly.
>>
>>88983234
The cannisters would be even more proof. Proof enough to demand a Senate investigation.

>>88983249
There's probably a reason why the empire settled on gassing instead of glassing.

Those tunnels are probably pretty sturdy

>If you find imperial weapons on Geonosis filled with a substance that can be chemically traced to planetary dispersal, then that's pretty damning. Especially considering those canisters found were probably not the sole producer of a planetary holocaust.
Those canisters could have been placed by rebels. if they are getting a recruitment boost from few pictures think of how much more they would get from a fake connection
>You can't exactly safely tidy up a crime scene the size of a planet. A Senate investigation will turn up evidence you missed.
or it will alert the criminals and they will do the clean up. hell the senate is part of the empire, sheev is the senate so he will have it cleaned. Im assuming he already had it cleaned at those few canisters were last bits of overlooked evidence

We know what killed the bugs. We know that bug remains exist since they were in the Vader comic (apparently bug corpses are too much for DisneyXD). Certainly enough to test.

And if you find Imperial weapons with the same chemical traces found in all these corpses it isn't exactly hard to connect these dots.

And if the Rebellion had the resources to produce planet killing toxins why would they attack Geonosis to frame the Empire instead of attacking a major Imperial target? Where would the Rebellion get Imperial grade weapons and chemicals? "Oh yeah, we produced them but obviously those mean old Rebels stole them." Yeah, that won't still be bad for the Empire.

And if they could get the canisters to the Senate to order an investigation then it would certainly be hard to clean up all evidence on the planet since even cleaning up an entire planet would be, you know, impossible anyway. Some evidence will remain behind.

And assuming this is the last evidence will get you nowhere. It is, however, the last easy bit of evidence the Rebels will likely find given it was deep underground and already found by a local who lead then there.

>>
>>88983313
You're overlooking the fact that the Senate has stopped the Emperor in the past and the Empire has been very careful not to upset them. Even capturing Leia was considered too far in ANH and it isn't like the Empire couldn't have claimed she was a spy and a traitor.

Since before the Empire there has been the Delegation of 2000. There are Senators just waiting for evidence to crack down on the Empire. The show itself flat out tells you this would have been the kind of evidence they need. You might not like it, but tough titties. Scream at your monitor if that makes you feel better.

>>
>>88983510
The Senate could be controlled, placated, derailed, and even somewhat ignored as long as they couldn't work together.

Give them a cause to rally around with hard evidence (and as far as the show tells us it is hard enough) and the Emperor's plans have been foiled in the past.

The novel Catalyst gave us several examples of Mas Amedda chewing out Krennic for staging incidents that allowed him to seize control over worlds and mine them for resources to feed the Death Star project. It isn't just the Senate they worry about, they also worry about non-allied worlds banding together for strength because any such alliance would be harder to break up and conquer.

Anyone feeling like this might be the last season of Rebels?

It's already too close to ANH/Rogue One timewise and Thrawn fucking up the rebels in the final here would explain their situation in Rogue One.

Thrawn kills off a big part of the rebels in the S3 final and after that gets rewarded by the emperor and send off into the dark regions of spess again. So he can come back at any time when Disney feels like using him again.
>>

>Anyone feeling like this might be the last season of Rebels?
Nope, they've already done recordings for Season 4.
>>
>>88983596
Fair is fair, people can certainly criticize. Still Bail seems to think this would have been a fair chance and he and the other Rebel allied Senators have been itching for something to use as proof of Imperial atrocities for a long time now.

The Empire certainly won't take it lying down but Bail would certainly be in a position of knowing if the evidence could hold up or even matter.

>Thrawn kills off a big part of the rebels in the S3 final
We've been told before that Rebels has been following a theme similar to the movies. Season 1 was their New Hope moment when they stand up to the Empire and realize they aren't alone. Season 2 was The Empire Strikes Back and while Phoenix survived it took a major hit at the end. And good odds they won't find Ahsoka in Jabba's palace, though, yeah, I guess that would be pretty sweet. Wearing the gold bikini but sadly forced to still change Rotta's diapers.

That means this season is their Return of the Jedi. Things will look bleak, Thrawn will spring his IT'S A TRAP! but they'll win and the Alliance is on the horizon.

Thrawn will probably be lucky if he doesn't survive this season.
>>
>>88982984

>>
>>88983898

>>
All those little Thrawn episodes shared a thing.
They all had the crew protecting/saving little characters like those kids who wanted to protect their planet or Heras dad.

Those are the ones that will die in the final with Thrawn damaging a big part of the rebel fleet.

The rebels winning against Thrawn wouldn't make sense considering their situation in the OT but Thrawn won't win big either. It will be an imperial victory but not a flawless one.
>>
>>88970526
Seriously, Ki-Adi-Mundi, stop pretending you're a ghost. We all know ghosts aren't real.
>>
>>88983945
Considering his job is to crush the Rebels and he's actively been letting them escape supposedly to do just that, the fact that we know the Rebellion is just going to get bigger does NOT spell wonders for his career.

He's only recently been promoted yet the Grand Admiral doesn't earn a seat at Tarkin's table on the Death Star? Let's hope he can write off the decal payments on his personal Star Destroyer he'll have to pawn.
>>
>>88983800
I'm wondering who's going to be the one to dispatch Kanan at this point.

The Inquisitors are not coming back and they've missed their window with Vader. I don't think it'll be Maul either, because again, he has his big shot in S2 that I don't think they'll repeat and the finale seems to be focused on his duel with Kenobi.

Thrawn could easily be the one, but it wouldn't be quite as significant, since the Jedi and Rebellion plots are so divorced at this point.

Which leaves us with Edgera's resurgence, but that wouldn't fly on Disney XD.
>>
>>88982546
The CGI addition of Ben watching from the corner and jerking off in the Blu Ray special edition didn't help either
>>
>>88984002
He'll fail, but it'll be swept under the carpet as he'll get kicked upwards. That way the fans will get something to fall back on defending Thrawn's incompetence.

An "exile", a prestigious mission on behalf of the Emperor in the Unknown Regions is likely.
>>

It makes animation better, and emotions easier to convey dumbass.

And neither Thrawn nor Ventress are supposed to be relateable. (Ventress was eventually, but she was originally introduced just as a slightly-more talkative version of the Genddy assassin we saw)

And on top of that, having no pupils always looked retarded anyways, fuck your EU.
>>
>>88984057
Unless there are some recent news I missed. But Filoni went on record after S2 that the Inquisitors are out of the show as the Force users in general are phasing out of the setting, with the Force falling dormant as we are getting closer to Yavin.

He cited it as one of the reasons why Thrawn, a secular military genius, and not a Force user like Inky or Vader before him, is the big bad for S3.
>>
>>88984115
Henry Gilroy said they will finish the Inquisitor storyline.
>>
>>88984115
He did say that, but he also said we'll see more of them, pre-ANH, they're not all out YET.

They're probably keeping them out of the spotlight so they can re-establish the regular Empire forces as a threat again (IE; Thrawn), and then either next Season, or in the Season finale, we'll be introduced to the new Grand Inquisitor, who will be the Final Boss of the Inquisitors, for lack of better term.

They wont drag it on much longer though, the Inquisitors are likely all dead months before Rogue One. They just want a satisfactory end to the Story, and I think they want to give Kanan/Ezra the big achievement of being the heroes who defeated the Inquisitors for good, which is nice.
