I think because most of these writers aren´t really masculine themselves and put their own short comings when it comes to being a men or masculine in those characters

Three more issues have been released, but I do not have them with me right now, and they tell an incomplete story. The artist for this got poached for the Wild Storm project, so the art unfortunately changes. Given the low sales numbers, this series will probably end at #18.

Issue 13 and 14 are done by Walter Geovani, who looks to have drawn quite a bit of Red Sonja. It looks like he tried to mirror Jon Davis-Hunt's as closely as possible. Issue #15 is a weird interlude in the middle of a cliffhanger, and was drawn by newcomer Sanya Anwar, who seems to have done a bit of the work in Shade the Changing Girl #3
