EEnE, no question. I couldn't explain the plot for any single CatDog episode, plus it just seems really forgettable. EEnE had amazing sound design, great humor, voice acting and delivery, and lots of moments that resonated with fans.

I can't think of anything else conceptually quite like Ed Edd & Eddy except for maybe the three stooges. Even beyond that it's a really visually entertaining piece of media.

Catdog had its moments but it's relatively generic with its straightman-bozo routine.

also there is a reason that ed edd n eddy was basically brought back a dozen times and ran off and on for close to a decade before properly ending

meanwhile cat dog had what? two seasons I honestly have no clue but it wasn't even a show nick tried to push for nostalgia on their B tier networks

is this even a question? Catdog is easily the worst Nicktoon of its era whereas EEnE is one of the best animated shows of all time. Catdog was like a mishmash of every '90s cartoon cliche with none of the charm or humor. The show was uninspired, bland and emotionally bankrupt.

EEnE was consistently one of CN's top-rated shows, running for nearly a decade, and is today one of the most well-received shows of its time, frequently being compared to animation from the golden age. EEnE is praised up and down for nearly every aspect of the show, and many consider it one of the best cartoons of all time period.

CatDog came out a year before it, but aired almost entirely in 1998-1999, with a handful of episodes in 2000-2001, and two random dumps in 2004 and 2005 before being dropped from the network. I don't blame him for thinking there were only two seasons; there were four but the network seemed eager to dump the show. Critically it's regarded as one of the worst nicktoons from its era, and while it's regarded to have had a few good episodes, the general consensus is that it was an overall bad show.
