What you do is set up torrent rss feeds for your favorite shows and then set up Kodi to scan the folders where the shows are saved and update automatically. Then whenever a new episode comes out you it's downloaded automatically and added in with information about it. There's a lot of guides online for it.
Or if you are okay with streaming there's an addon for kodi called specto that does the same thing with streams.

I'm someone who has never watched a single episode of Steven Universe, at first because it seemed like a dumb sitcom and later on like Tumblr propaganda
but today i saw a clip that showed a bit about the lore of the show(actually it was about a lesbian couple, whatever) and it did seem interesting

so, is the show worth just for the lore/plot aspect of it?

if you like fun, season 1 is cool. it shows flickers of lore and plot before starting to really delve into it halfway into season 1. the lore is insanely good for such a simple show, and it recently has been at the forefront. but you have to get through basic monster of the week. if you don't like that, you might find yourself skipping eps. i personally like the whole show.

It's generally a feel good show. The overall message of it is peace, and non-violence. So in that regard, it is certainly more up tumblrs alley than 4chan's vitriolic self.

As someone who likes the show I readily admit the show has issues. Probably the worst being all the unnecessary crying that cheapens real emotional moments and the inability to properly animate fight scenes.

But I really like the gen alien conquers concept. There's a really neat sci-fi universe underneath the crying and the lesbians.

The plot is good albeit a little poorly paced in the first season. Humors good. Lots of emotions are explored and you really feel like the characters grow closer especially the main four. I was a skeptic too until a month ago and I can't believe watching a few random episodes was any way to judge it. There is a bit of a dissonance with the people in the town at odds with the Gem business stuff but its a minor nit pick where I only found not liking maybe a couple episodes.

Having a fondness for video games or anime could help your enjoyment of the series as well as an aside.
