I think if we ever get back to that moment at the table with Jasmine and Abby he's probably going to tell her about his "fight" with Daisy and how much he hates Paulo. Jasmine to that is probably going to open up to her thoughts on him and maybe reveal some of that "heart of gold" that everyone says Paulo has to Abby and kinda give some context to why Daisy (and even Mike) respect him/are friends with him.

Because he hasn't learned his lesson, the lesson isn't even "don't be a shit" because that's a universal one that for the moment, we don't know even stuck with him.

His real problem, consistently that hasn't changed, is that he only sees what he wants to see for better or for worse.

When he liked Lucy he'd ignore almost anything bad that she did, when he didn't like her he insisted on only seeing what was bad about her and blowing it up in his head to make her worse than what she was.

Same with Sandy, he refuses to see the bad and the problems even when they're right in front of his face which Paulo calls him out for even if he ignores him.

Even now, he probably still has this image in his head of Lucy being a parasite waiting to latch back onto him at the first opportunity if how her dream persona acted and how he responded to her is of any proof.

But knowing his guilt complex and compulsion to be a "nice guy" he might well try to force himself into being friends with her again even though I'm relatively sure that she's absolutely disinterested in that possibility.
