John's holding Shazam hostage. Plenty of writers have claimed they wanted to write Captain marvel but were told no by editorial because John's got dibs. The reason he got dibs is that he wanted to tell his own spin of the Shazam mythos. Unfortunately the fucktard is busy plotting rebirth, aquaman shit, justice league shit and running half of DC comics so we will probably see his version in 12 years or so.

Ok so we got cleopatra as isis, shazam for billy, apache chief is a given, samurai will be samurai of course, the other black dude represents black vulcan. Only one missing is el dorado.

Norse lady and asian lady definitely represent something else. maybe its connected Kid Eternity? Maximum man from Wildstorm maybe? DC does have their rights after all. Viking prince? Or maybe its Ibic or Sabbac? There's also Zha-vam the invincible from precrisis era who fought superman.
