Wakfu, a beautifully-animated French show about magic and time fuckery and shit. IMO it's got one of the most well-written villains in fictional history.

it breaks status quo at the end. Our asshole protagonist that scam people became better people and ended up in a better position than they started off. They learned their lesson and grew as characters so seeing them win was satisfying.
