Because anything sounds stupid when you dumb it down like that. Ed, Edd n Eddy, the show /co/ creams itself over every time it's brought up, is retarded sounding if you just say it's about three kids constantly failing at making money.

Korean animators and effort to make steven more cute. I dunno the art style is generally more "condensed" now. it makes more chances for dynamic animation but it can also look pretty lacking. Recently steven's head is like the same size as his entire torso. just looks dumb.

I thought the crying when he was on the ship was a bit much. In fact that whole episode where they were on the ship was unnecessary. We already know how desperate Steven was to get his dad back, why did we need a whole episode dedicated to it? Felt like they were just trying to fill time in that episode.
