How the fuck is this a mini? Great, the shoddily written wanna-be replacment for Peter is sticking his dick where it shouldn't belong again, because Bendis wants him as Spider-Man. Wonderful.

I hate Slott, but if it wasn't for him, this douche would be the only Spiderman.
>>

The purpose of "Story Thus Far" variants is to portray important characters and events of past arcs.

>>88903994
>mini
>implying
>>
>>88901996
Basing this on the preview and on how Bendis wrote throughout the Civil-War event, the Gwen-Miles pairing is going to barely be touched upon. It's mainly going to take a back-seat (or be used as a crutch) to the drama going on in Mile's life with his family/friends up till now.

She can freely jump between dimensions

Her issue is that fighting evil Cindy Moon in her universe along side 616 Jessica Deew and Cindy Moom got her depowered and now needs serums to stay as a superhero. And now her dad's imprisoned for keeping Gwen's identity a secret and now Gwen is forced to make a deal with her universe's Matt Murdok (who works for the Kingpin)

At this point, all of her loved ones and enemies know who Gwen is

Why does everyone hate Peter now? Is it because he's a successful white cis male?
>>
>>88906110
It's not that people hate Peter, it's just that for decades writers have had the philosophy that Peter is more interesting and relatable the more he suffers. You can agree or disagree.

>I hate Slott, but if it wasn't for him, this douche would be the only Spiderman.

aka:
>Not wanting to lose your job and main source of income, now makes you a hero.

I don't get that. Literally, the only reason Slott told Bendis to fuck off with the "kill Peter during Civil War II!" thing is so he wouldn't lose his job. That's fucking it. Slott wasn't "saving" the character or anything like that. He's main it painfully obvious he detests Peter (calling him "Anti-Marvel", writing a story about systematically murdering Peter universe-by-universe, writing him out of his own book... twice, etc).
>>
>>88904021
>to portray important characters and events of past arcs.

Right. None of the characters on the cover are important because nothing happened. There hasn't even been a story. Its just Miles fucking around doing nothing in each issue.

Miles' book is literally Filler: The Comic
>>
>>88904616
This. How the fuck would Genke and Goldballs even know who Earth-65 Gwen even is?

Let alone, well, ANY iteration of Gwen Stacy?
>>
>>88904651
>Inb4 they just make out a few times and it amounts nothing at the end of the last issue and we all fell for the bait AGAIN.

This is literally what is going to happen, though. The two characters probably won't even interact all that much.
>>
>>88904822
>Her issue is that fighting evil Cindy Moon in her universe along side 616 Jessica Deew and Cindy Moom got her depowered and now needs serums to stay as a superhero.

Yet, literally anyone who isn't Jason Latour forgets this.

No one even writes Earth-65 Gwen like she comes off in her solo book. Just look at how she was in Web Warriors or Clone Conspiracy. Her personality is the polar opposite. Might as well have been an entirely different character.

I'm sure Bendis, being Bendis, will do the exact same thing. Because fuck doing even doing the bare minimum research (remember, Bendis is the guy who thought Google was around in 1996 and that University of Cambridge is in London).
>>
>>88901900

>BLACKED-GWEN

>>
>>88906110
>>give Silk her hispanic ex-boyfriend back instead of having her fuck Peter

This is a good thing. Silk is good when she has nothing to do with Peter. Anytime she is around Peter, she instantly becomes one of the cringiest characters in the entire comic medium.
>>
>>88906165
>It's not that people hate Peter

Both Bendis and Slott loathe Peter.
>>
>>88903514

wtf i hate marvel NOW?!
>>
>>88906317
Yes, but I like to self-insert as Peter when Silk's around him.
>>
>>88906334
...are you Slott? Do you want to fuck your own OCs?
>>
>>88906236

Marvel wouldn't fire Slott just because he stopped writing Spider-man, what the fuck are you on?
>>
>>88906358
He would lose his biggest source of income. If you think he's making real money off of Silver Surfer, you're only fooling yourself.
>>
>>88903893
No, not really, not in the traditional superhero comic book arc way.
Miles fights Blackheart but the takeaway from the fight isn't a rivalry with a demon, it's the response on social media when people see his skin color through his torn costume. And even though we haven't seen Blackheart since that second issue, the girl who gets inspired by brown-skin-spidey to start a blog about it is now a supporting character.

It's like a slice-of-life comic in superhero clothing. If they'd put David Aja or someone on this, everyone would have a completely different opinion of the book.
>>
>>88906060
Autism is real.
>>
>>88906306
but wouldn't Gwen's ongoing also include this whole "romance" arc?

It can be excused as Gwen being able to keep her issues as private as possible.

She's natrually quippy like any Spider person but that's constantly shown as a cover from her actual negativity only known by her dad, her band mates, and more recently evil Matt
>>
>>88903514
People who can barely read
>>
>>88906392
>but wouldn't Gwen's ongoing also include this whole "romance" arc?

Yes. And I wouldn't be surprised at all if Gwen's characterization differs from issue to issue as Latour and Bendis write her. Latour will be consistent with what he's been doing up to this point, while Bendis will write a totally different character... you know, because Bendis.

>It can be excused as Gwen being able to keep her issues as private as possible.

Its more than just one issue. In Gwen's solo book, she's a self deprecating and depressed social outcast. Where as every other writer writes her as some upbeat and ultra positive chick (see: Web Warriors and Clone Conspiracy). Its a completely different characterization.
>>
>>88906392
>She's natrually quippy like any Spider person

You haven't actually read her solo book, have you? She isn't really quippy at all.
>>
>>88906377
>It's like a slice-of-life comic in superhero clothing.

Its not, though. There isn't even a consistent plot. As you mentioned, fucking Blackheart was forgotten after 2 issues and never brought up again. Those scenes were in the book almost exclusively so Bendis could show how special snowflake-y Miles is.

Bendis routinely brings up plots and forgets them completely two issues later, never to resolve or address them. The race thing is pretty much all but forgotten already.

Just going back and skimming through some of her fights, she doesn't even really talk much while fighting. Its all internal monologues.

I'll never forgive the Marvel writers and their god damn cuckold fetish for fucking up Gwen in the first place with all of the Norman shit.

Interracial relationships have always been a thing that has been pushed in mainstream media and entertainment.

The problem isn't so much the concept as much as it is the execution. For example, name me a prominent relationship between a black female and a white male.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: What Marvel really needs to do is give Miles' ongoing to a completely different writing team. Bendis has been with him for so long that there's been little to no actual progression in the character, as if Bendis is protecting or coddling him.
Ironic that one of Marvel's most prominent black characters is in the hands of a fat white guy.

He's completely redundant and only exists for diversity pandering reasons. Just kill him off and focus on a better character (hell, bring Patriot back and give him his own book or something, if they wanna stick with the African-American schtick.... That not good enough? There are plenty of other characters to use. Give Spectrum. Doctor Voodoo, Nightwatch, Sun Girl or Night Thrasher their own book.... all of these characters (and many more) are far, far more interesting than Miles).

Exactly. I feel that under a new writer, something COULD be found, even if what is found is Miles' redundancy. Hell, there you go: There ought to be a story about how Miles is just "the black Spider-Man" and very little more than that, as well as how he attempts to rectify this aspect.

But Bendis needs to just give up Miles. He's spent so much time with his pet creation that it's actively hurting the character, in the same way that Slott's continued presence with Peter is hurting him as well.

I'm sorry for trying to bring conversation to the level a tasteless retard like you understands. Please notice that I were just explaining why no one likes your shit art and "sperging out" was an appropriate response to your moronic shitpost that refuted nothing. Good to know I'm still right,
Enjoy your ugly art and the most lifeless and stiff action scenes I've seen in any comic, though.

>>88908062
Why? Ramos' art, as bad as it is, at least has some dynamic. Rodriguez is just terrible in every way.
>>
>>88908125
>I feel that under a new writer, something COULD be found

You realize that other writers have attempted this and come up empty handed, right? Waid was writing Miles over in his ANAD Avengers book, for example, and Miles was still just as bland and dull as ever. Miles shows up in other books all the friggin' time and nothing ever changes with him.
>>
>>88908169
I feel like Miles needs a complete fucking revamp. He's too shit of a character to fix without going very radical.
Nothing short of pulling The Maker would work.

I actually would have agreed with you about the fight scenes if you hadn't flung yourself into an autistic rage. I wasn't even talking to you originally, I was talking to some other anon about the older books. You inserted yourself into the conversation just to throw a childish shitfit.
There's no coming back from this for you, regardless of opinions about art, because you are a giant retard who immediately flies into a rage when he reads something that triggers him.
You are the perfect stereotype of what people don't like about comic-book fans.
You also don't know shit about colours.
>>
>>88908153
>Ramos' art, as bad as it is, at least has some dynamic.

The same is true for Rodriguez. While Rodriguez is awful at drawing faces and whatnot, his art has great movement to it. That and he really captures the "punk rock"/"DIY" element tonally.

Ramos is completely incoherent at times (there are literally times when I can not understand what is happening on a page that Ramos has drawn without sitting and scrutinizing the page panel-by-panel) and utterly fails at anatomy.
>>
>>88908210
Completely agree. Either just kill him off and focus on a better character or drastically alter him.

I think having Miles have a mental breakdown and turning evil (even if only temporarily) would be wonderful.

It's funny because that's exactly what you're doing right now.

I know much more than you do, faggot. If that acidic trash is good coloring to you, you should poke your eyes out. You obviously don't need them.

>>88908255
>his art has great movement to it
No it doesn't. His sense of movement is absolutely incoherent, even if he tries to do otherwise. Sometimes it's very hard to understand what happens on the page because the art is so awful.
>>
>>88908398
>Sometimes it's very hard to understand what happens on the page because the art is so awful.

That's the exact same problem with Ramos. Never once have I had to stop and figure out what is happening with Rodriguez, though.

Don't get me wrong, Rodriguez is shit. But he's better than Ramos by a long shot. And Rodriguez cannot even see properly. He's legit handicapped. That says a lot about just HOW bad Ramos is.
>>
>>88908398
>I'll childishly dismiss your post entirely instead of trying to refute it or argue legitimately
Yes, that's exactly what you did and continue to do. Go read your original response to my claim that I 'like the art' and try to understand how spastic you sound.

Can we not? Bachalo is alright. Not great, but nor is he bad. He's leagues better than Ramos or Rodriguez.

Nah, you're just thin-skinned faggot who cannot stand when someone disagrees with them. Nothing I said in my original post is even remotely offensive, you fucking moron. It's also worth noting that you're so thin-skinned "you have shit taste" which is said by absolutely everyone on 4chan at one point is "rage" to you.

I take it back.
Bachalo is not bad when he's not drawing comics. His illustrations are pretty good. I have no idea why his comics art is so radically different in a terrible way. This picture is light years ahead of any actual comic art I've seen him draw.
Must be time constraints or bad coloring which he always tends to suffer from.

Correct, Miles does not make his own webbing.

We don't know how he gets his webbing... or how he even got his web shooters, for that matter, in this new continuity. Its one of many, many, many things Bendis refuses to explain post-Secret Wars.

Previously, in the Ultimate continuity, Genke was making his webbing. So that might still be true. But HOW he got the web shooters and web formula has yet to be explained in this new continuity.

>So hes basically a broken Poochie AND fucking useless?
Well, even ignoring the web shooter issue, yeah. There is a reason why everyone and their neighbor just shows in his book to pat Miles on the shoulder and tell him how awesome he is. He doesn't actually deserve any praise, though.

Agreed. He's a pretty shit character.

What I'm trying to get across is that damn near every example of an interracial relationship in mainstream media is between a black male and a white female. There's rarely any variation, especially in regards to relationships between black females and white or Asian males.

Slott isn't worried about money. He's as safe as Bendis in terms of job security.

What Slott wants is bragging rights. He's already gloated on twitter about writing a record-breaking amount of Spider-Man books. He wants to be THE Spider-Man writer.

>>88911387

>Making him evil in the first place was a complete asspull.

Whatever it was it worked, the Maker was an interesting character.
>>
>>88911456
>How do you figure? Heart break does horrible things to people.
He murdered his whole family. His father I can understand, but he murdered his baby sister too, who he fought so hard to rescue from aliens barely 3 arcs prior to that. He loved her. He was a good person. Never showed a hint of angst or maliciousness. It was a complete 180 character assassination, but like most things Bendis did at the time, everyone swallowed it up and sucked the smegma out of his smelly cock.
>>
>>88911456
Bendis wrote Ultimate Enemy, in which Reed first betrays all the good guys, and out of nowhere, Ben confesses his love for Sue, and they get fucking married.
