Kinda weird Dredd can just waltz into Tex Cit after tons of their men and their chief judge were killed in a little hostile takeover.

I love this guy. I love that it's the older dude and not the younger woman who has this personality. I love the resignation to Dredd - I don't trust this, I think I'm gonna die, but I'm a Judge and I gotta do it. A lot of the time non MC-1 Judges get turned into pure parody but these ones are great.

this rules, I don't know why i waited so long to start with dredd

right now I'm on Cursed Earth (the uncensored digital that is shared here and on the hubs) and the color spreads are beautiful
mcmahon has really raised his game
I wish the rest of it was available in this quality (the early casefiles are like 1000 pixels wide or something like that, cursed earth is 1654px wide, looks much better)

How's this for getting into Dredd?

I'd suggest reading Cursed Earth before Origins. Other than that, there's no confusion there that can't be fixed with a quick wiki search.

Maybe add Oz and The Pit to the list but otherwise that's a pretty good essential reading list.
I don't expect you'll have any problems following the plot as Dress stories are mostly selfcontained

Bretty good, although Mechanismo happens after Oz and Necropolis. Also, the payoff to Mechanismo happens in Wilderlands, so if you want to read the former I'd strongly suggest checking the latter.
Also, The Pit happens after Necropolis, so it should be between that and Day of Chaos.
