In a sane world they'd have canned it based on the reception to the concept and trailer, but they're just going to shuffle it out as quietly as they can.

To be honest, I don't mind the concept of an Emoji movie, it just has to be executed correctly. It needs to have another draw than just "lol emojis in cinema" and it needs to focus on the main attitudes of Emojis like how they are everywhere and spread a shit ton of times like cancer. Here is an example, it contains an animated emoji part and an unanimated real world part.

>A very fucking dangerous virus which is currently not active, but when it reaches critical mass, it will activate and tear down the internet
