Before anyone asks, the next issue of Silver Surfer chronologically takes place as the final issue of Secret Wars. There are five issues after Secret Wars #9 in my order and it is the final one.

He was originally a Fantastic Four character during the Roy Thomas run then was turned into Glorian by the Shaper of Worlds in Incredible Hulk. Since then he's appeared sporadically as a servant of the Shaper of Worlds.

Mind you, he WAS created after Mister Miracle so it's certainly possible that he's partially based on Mister Miracle, but he's been around since the 70s. Not a recent creation.

New 52 is good, I voted for F4 only ever read glimpses of F4 in the past decade and always heard there were some really good arcs. And everything I've read from this secret wars event that had F4 characters has made me want to read more.

Some bitter old men on /co/ will tell you that marvel has been dead for years, but when I read issues like this one, hell, most of the Last days titles, actually, I realize that the quality gap between 2015 and 2016 was so inmense that ultimately the "era" or decade doesn't matter, only the year.
