it was just as bad as it should've been. Enough to be boring but inoffensive.

It could've done some very small and simple things to be better than it had any right to be, but it failed to do them.

Those things are:
-Make the contestant's storylines intersect somehow, make their interactions have an impact on each other instead of having 6 totally separated storylines running in tandem
-Make Buster a more sympathetic figure, not a selfish lying jerk who stiffs his employees and steals electricity to support a theater he has destroyed through mismanagement
-Show a little restraint and have at least some instrumentals for emotional moments outside of performances that aren't fucking licensed pop music
