Aw fuck yeah

I think weirdly enough, he's starting to become relevant again. He had a lot of snarky (and dated) commentary on women's lib and the SJWs of his time, so maybe that's interesting people now. Or maybe they just like the giant butts he draws. Who knows? For me, it's definitely the giant butts.

Holy fucking shit
I miss reading this phase when Crumb just didn't give two fucks. It was very liberating and kind of disturbing to watch him draw more and more obscene shit just to piss people off.
>>88835968
Actually he become really good and relevant since the late 70's and the 80's.
during his "hippie years" on the sixities, he mostly produced "san francisco private jokes" trash with some liberal douche and porn, on those times his best material were the stories of Fritz the cat.
>>88836149
Yeah, personally I love him for his autobiographical stuff from the late 70's and after
another story here.

So what's a good R. Crumb collection/book for someone who's just read a few strips here and there on /co/?
The Book of Genesis caught my eye in my LCS the other day, but I wasn't sure if that'd be a great place to start.
>>88837378
Well the Book of Genesis is basically illustrations of bible stories with texts.
it's still interesting.

Is Crumb the guy who did those LCS strips?

He's done a lot of minor work for different groups. I swore I saw some of his landscape stuff in a Route 66 handbook but it turned out to be another artist with an incredibly similar style, right down to the cross-hatching.
But he's been all over. Despite the lewd stuff he really has managed to become a cultural artifact. A level to aspire to.

You're thinking of Evan Dorkin.
