I started reading The Walking Dead in 2007. Got the issues from 4chan's "rapidshare" board which is since long gone. Good times.

That used to be my main source of comics. I mean I guess there's the Win-O'-Thread but if I want something older I'm usually out of luck. People say "check the archive" but doesn't that shit get nuked regularly?

Shit, speaking of the archive remember back when people had to vote to get a thread archived instead of every thread getting archived automatically?

Can't say I can remember that mcuh about how the archive worked back then. I didn't visit /co/ for the matter either. Just /b/ and /x/ and /rapidshare/. Did /co/ even exist in 2007? It feels like 2007 was the year 4chan stopped being a website for weebs and started to become really mainstream because of the reputation /b/ had back then.

The archive was for 4chan in general, not just /co/. From what I remember there was a Submit a thread page on the archive where you'd put the thread's post number in and hit a button to request for it to be archived. If enough people did this then the thread would be archived.

Oh yeah, now that I think about it, I created a thread about the punk band Misfits on /b/ and it got archived because some other anons in the thread thought there were so many rare photos of the band in the thread. Back then, /b/ was actually interesting sometimes with not just the same types of threads repeating over and over like it has been the last 7 years.
