Well it's not really thought about much but she's a backwater redneck. Being around Qrow is suffering. People around her didn't want to bring her up to speed with the war because knowing always has a way of sucking you in. She's been pretty sheltered so she's never really considered the consequences of powerlevels autism being a problem for her because apparently up until a year ago she thought hunters were all roses and sunshine or something to that effect. So, how would you have handled the Amber situation if you were Ozpin?

I would have brought in two or three candidates and their closest team member for support (not the entire teams, that'd be a clusterfuck), given them a "you're about to learn some heavy shit, be sworn to secrecy, and one of you girls might get mindfucked hard" speech, and see how many stay. They're probably the types that will if they're being considered for maiden status. The ones that stay get inducted into the Ozluminati right there, given two hours to process the infodump, and then the rest of the day in the vault (with refreshments) to discuss who gets the pod, and just get it over with. Putting all that pressure on one girl and expecting her to bottle it up was a disaster waiting to happen, and the attack means the secret is already compromised, so I'd take the risk of bringing a few more people in.

Jaune, circumstances withstanding, was pretty smart this episode. I mean he was pretty angry about Pyrrha but that seemed more at the whole system. Besides that, he went straight to the point and asked what the fuck is this all about, if it were true what could they do about it, and then he even called out Qrow's use of Ruby as bait. He also pointed out how Qrow wouldn't really be of any use thanks to his semblance but that was more spite.

Compare this to Ruby who mainly cared about why wasn't her uncle didn't tag along her adventure and didn't trust her to tell her everything.

People said Jaune stole Ruby's concern in asking questions but I think RT showed their characters better quite well.

Close up on Sun's gaze as Blake makes pleasured moans.
Yang Calls out Sun's name as he continues. She breaks the monsters hold as she charges toward Sun, Ember Celica cocked and ready to fire as an Unfazed Sun holds her in the air with his newly acquired semblance.
A flash of light as Raven appears and takes a failed swing of her blade at one of the Demons at the top of the pillar. She opens a portal to Yang's side and take her daughter under her arm. Sun drops Blake as he begins to retaliate, but this only allows Raven to retrieve the faunus and make her escape.

Ren and Nora have never felt to be part of team JNPR. It was more like team JP + Ren and Nora. They barely interacted with Pyrrha. Nora and Ren only said a few words to her, but I don't think she ever said anything directly to them.

I was hyped for volume 4 because I thought Ren and Nora would finally start to get some focus, because that was impossible while Pyrrha was alive.They haven't said or done anything to show that they miss Pyrrha. Only Jaune does that. Except for Ren talking about his past, they haven't said or done anything special this volume 4. They just follow Ruby to help her with her mission.

It feels like Ren and Nora are another two characters where RT just don't know what to do with.

Nora's problem is that she's pretty much just there for fanservice. She provides nice quirky comic relief as well as a safe shipping option. The show refuses to take her seriously as that goes against what she contributes to it.

The true problem with Ren and Nora is that people are doing the exact same thing they've been complaining about: They've been lumping Ren and Nora together. RT seems to know where Ren is going but people want Nora to be a part of that.
