Nennius was struck in the head with Caesar's sword, but didn't die for fifteen days, and was buried with it. More of an immortality-type thing going on, along with head wounds.

Additionally Nennius was supposed to have been the historian who recorded King Arthur's fables, one of which being how his shield was emblazoned with the image of the Virgin Mary. Additionally, symbology of the rook piece in chess (Which is the piece Jaune picked up) references the fact of watching, of being an observer as things take place.

So people are hyped for the upcoming episodes being almost 21 minutes long. Me too. But remember, episode 5 was was only 12 minutes. If you were to take a few minutes from episode 8 and moved to them episode 5, both would be average long ones.

The problem with that is Episode 5, for better or for worse, was pretty much self contained. There wasn't a lot of time or space for you to easily cut to another story
In a way I'd argue Episode 5 was the most complete episode, as it focused on just one story. It would be interesting if, when the DVD comes out, there was a R W B Y cut for the volume, where you just got each individual girls story without cutting away to the others
But I doubt they'd do that, just to cover up how jarring Yang's story is inevitably going to be

I dont think the hacks that are M&K have actually thought about how Yang right now is literally just a stupid fucking side-arc with no way to reasonably tie back into the main story short of rushed absurdity. It's likely that she has no means to get mingled back in just short of Hazel kicking the door down and going turbonigger on Taiyang for some reason we will "Learn" later. Yang has no tie to the main-story outside: "Ruby is my sister. I must man up to go help sister. Dunno from what though lol"

Yang is that one sub-quest in an RPG that's optional and easily missable because you didn't talk to the right sequence of NPC's in a row between towns.
Blake is the subquest that ties into the third-party bad guys(Bandits terrorizing shit)
Weiss is a subquest that will mean something in the long run likely.

I'm hopeful Raven will show up at the end of the volume and, because of the talk she had with Qrow, we'll get Yang actually mingled into Salem's Metaplot via Raven trying to be a bad parent some more.

Doing the Yellow-trailer styled now would feel nonsensical and rushed because nobody just gets out of a slump like she's in overnight. Miles and Kerry wrote her into a corner with this dumb humbling plan with nothing but stupid events to tug her out.

No matter what they do, it will feel forced and rushed. At the end of the day, yang still has nothing but flimsy trails to follow to stay relevant to the story.

She's been slowly getting out of that slump for 6 months, and we saw at the end of episode 4 she was going to get started on training with Tai. When she shows up again she'll be either part way through or finished re-training (because sadly some parts do have to be rushed and we don't have the luxury of letting Yang be season 4 Korra) and then she'll get started trying to find leads.
It wouldn't surprise me if Tai has some knowledge about how to find Raven that he's kept secret that he tells Yang about to try and help her. Bit of an asspull, but its a logical one so it doesn't bother me that much

Oh no argument there, she's definitely been handed the short straw. Which fucking sucks because with only a little effort and more screen time you'd have a very interesting story of Yang exploring the darker side of Remnant in a bid to find her mother, which could then be fed into a conflict between Yang and Ruby over naivety and hope, where we would finally see the core themes of the show reflected in its main characters. Its the potential that's being ignored that bothers me more than anything
