>Ghost Rider won't be returning to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. when the show comes back from its midseason winter break, and not just because the show's story is moving in a different direction. According to co-showrunner Jed Whedon, there were budgetary concerns to consistently portraying Robbie Reyes' flaming skull.
Whedon and fellow producer Jeffrey Bell admitted to TVLine that there were "financial considerations" in the choice to end Robbie's storyline at the midseason finale, but as Whedon explained, “He is trapped in another place, which usually means that he’s not dead.”
That's what you get when Ike "can't buy office supply" Perlmutter is in charge of your division.

>Disney company being too cheapskate
News at 11.
Meanwhile CWverse replicated CW but better on a tv budget
>>88754629
No way that's real
Hahahahahahaha
>>88754275
>Hispanic character costing them too much money so they can't let him in again.
fucking marlel!
You know what? Good. They were wasting Ghost Rider material on this show anyway. Good news is that this sends a message to Disney that people still want to see Ghost Rider, so hopefully Danny or Johnny get a movie out of this. Also expect numbers to tank because I highly doubt anyone gives a fuck about LMD version of Secret Invasion
It always amazes me when people don't realize how expensive TV is.
Just Cancel the show so that the characters can appear in the films.
>>88754793
Tell us, /tv/.
>>88754653
Anybody got the GIF from behind the scenes with the two groups rushing towards each other and the big greenscreen?
>>88754629
>Disney
You mean Perlmutter.
>>88755225
Marvel is not a Disney company?
>>88754275
Wait, did people actually expect him to come back? I mean, even budgetary concerns aside he had a full arc and half the season devoted to him. It's a SHIELD show, not Ghost Rider.
>>88755254
He was about the only reason to tune it and they didnt really do all that much with him, or magic for that matter.
>>88754275
hahahahahaaaaaaa
Marvel is a dumpster fire
>>88755236
Marvel Entertainment is ran by Ike Perlmutter. Disney owns Marvel, but they don't run it. Ike does, and he has complete control over how it's ran.
Other than Marvel Studios, which they have direct control over post-Civil War because Alan Horn, the only person at Disney that outranks Perlmutter, stepped in to have it removed from Marvel Entertainment entirely.
>>88754779
>Good news is that this sends a message to Disney that people still want to see Ghost Rider
lol
>>88754275
>but as Whedon explained, “He is trapped in another place, which usually means that he’s not dead.”
In other words, he's dead
>>88755306
And yet that Horn guy is cheapskate as fuck too: >>88754653
>>88755225
Goddamn Ike is so annoying. It's like he's trying to just wreck everything.
It's his Butthurt assholery that makes me not want the X-Men to go back to him. Just because of the way he's treated them.
>>88755306
>I-it's all that evil P-Perlmutter's fault! He s-supports Trump so he must be to blame!
Give it a rest, kiddo.
>>88755369
>And yet that Horn guy is cheapskate as fuck too: >>88754653
That's from Civil War, anon. Perlmutter was still incharge of Marvel Studios until halfway through filming, by which point most things were already to set in stone to change. You'd have to look at Dr. Strange and later movies' budgets for accurate comparisons.
>>88755364
>Ghost Rider trapped in hell
Oh man, however will he get out of this one?
>>88755419
>Ike is to blame for everything
Whatever.
>>88755398
>s-stop stating facts t-that disagree with my FEELINGS
What exactly did I say that was wrong? Perlmutter decides the budgets for all Marvel Television shows. Agents of SHIELD is a Marvel Television show.
>>88755398
No one brought up Trump. People are bringing up the horror stories of him and how he treats Marvel employees. Coffee satchels, toilet paper, office supplies and the like were practically paid for by the staff members themselves because Perlmutter has this obsession in trying to shit out a dime less. It's admirable, but the psychotic extent that he did/is doing it is the stuff of legends. It's not a story or a throw-out without precedent.
>>88755474
>stop saying who actually makes these decisions I don't like! It's all """""""d*sney's""""""" fault
I don't understand why the truth is bothering you so much. This is all fairly common knowledge.
>>88755511
Thanks for Correcting the Record, shill.
>>88755561
For free or for a fee?
>>88755561
>>88755419
So, why doesn't Disney fire Ike if he's so bad at his job?
>>88755644
What parts of "Marvel Entertainment is ran independently of Disney and Perlmutter is the CEO of Marvel Entertainment" and "Perlmutter is the third highest shareholder at Disney" don't you understand? To remove Perlmutter, they'd have to buy out his shares directly (billions of dollars and he'd have to be willing to sell, which he won't be) and shut down Marvel Entertainment in it's entirety.
Their best bet is to just wait out Perlmutter's time as CEO then put in a Disney puppet into the CEO position once he's on his way out. They already have Marvel Studios under their direct control now, and that's what Disney was after. What do they care if the Marvel Television, Marvel Games, Marvel Comics, or Marvel Merchandising divisions are answering to a penny pinching jew? They're profitable and if you don't like working under Perlmutter, then don't work at Marvel.
>>88756243
>that Business 101 student and his copypastas again
>>88756279
>I don't know what copypasta is
You need to go back.
>>88754779
What does "LMD" mean?
>>88756325
>LMD
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=LMD
>>88754275
That's hilarious.
Especially considering it's fucking Robbie. He's got a READY MADE COST-CUTTER on his fuckin' head.
I haven't started S4 yet, where does it go from here then? They set up any other spooky shit?
>People are defending Ike the Kike.
Top Kek
>>88755398
Reflexively bringing up Trump when no one's so much as alluded to him is just as bad as SJWs bring race into a discussion when no one else brought it up.
>>88756325
life model decoy.
they're robots mostly used by nick fury that are almost indistinguishable from a real human. able to be programmed to act like a person, or be directly controlled so that it seems like the real person is there.
fury had hundreds of them, with at least one going rogue believing it was the real fury.
>>88756413
Ike will time people going to the bathroom so that they're not wasting his money on "personal time" but still has the generosity to give Trump millions in campaign donations.
>>88756468
So?
Also, you gotta wonder about the delegation abilities of a CEO who does stuff like that.
>>88755398
You've been given actual reasoning. Don't be a faggot.
>>88754275
>Dying show can only maintain it's last ditch effort at ratings for only half the season.
LOL It's All Connected was a mistake.
>>88755474
He's not to blame for the shit I suspect triggers you tbf
>>88755398
Are we really at the point where people are defending fucking Ike?
Well that sucks, Ghost Rider was the only thing interesting about this season
>>88756573
Is this what /pol/ calls the JIDF?
>>88756725
I was talking about quips.
You know what the funny thing is? Robbie's original design would have been far more cost effective for the shows budget, they literally made things harder for themselves. His comic skull is more like a helmet/engine block, so you could have gone practical mixed with flame effects added in post. But no LETS CGI DAT SKULL ON HIM AND TAKE AWAY HIS DISTINCTION FROM OTHER RIDERS
>>88754653
When will this meme die?
this is hilarious, will the show end now?
>>88756360
are you having a stroke?
>>88756373
>They set up any other spooky shit?An LMD going rogue because she's been infected by Cthon via the Darkholde.
>>88756615
>hurr he's friends with Trump so he must be evil
This is what shillaryfags ACTUALLY believe. Fucking pathetic.
>>88758297
No? He was already written out of the show in the midseason, setting up the LMD plot for the second half.
It probably is ending this season, but that doesn't really have anything to do with this.
>>88755369
>And yet that Horn guy is cheapskate as fuck too
Nah.
The Russos can't get into aesthetics. Dr. Strange looked gorgeous.
>>88754779
Robbie was based desu pham
>>88758523
>not knowing how long /co/ has hated Ike
at least lurk more, /pol/
>>88758942
Regardless if Robbie was good or not, do you really want to regulate everything Ghost Rider to this fucking show? I mean how would you feel if Moon Knight was placed there instead of a Netflix show?
Why is everybody taking the bait? Seriously niggers heads up.
>>88755369
>>88755306
Actually Dr. Strange is the first movie with 0% input from Marvel Entertainment hence the new logo.
So the only reason I was watching the show this season is now gone? Okay goodbye show.
>>88759053
... that's what he said, anon. Dr. Strange was the first post-Civil War movie.
>>88759153
I was actually addressing the guy who linked to the CW/CW crossover post, dude. I linked the other guy to keep the conversation flowing nicely.
It was worth it. Ghost Rider was awesome on the show.
>>88754275
Lucky we got as much flaming skull as we did, considering what they did with Hive. Literally what, two scenes of a full face of Hive? Didn't even die in his true form.
>>88759824
Ward > Hive
>>88759189
Ah, my bad. You quoting the second person made it seem like you were responding to him as well.
>>88759847
Well, obviously.
We had more time with Ward than Hive.
>>88754275
At least his story had somewhat of a conclusion
Maybe he'll pop back up on Netflix after they finish with the Defenders
>>88760161
Netflix can't afford the Rider either I bet
hence why all their shows are just people having fist fights in the street
>>88760300
You wouldn't think so considering they've got close to a 4m budget per episode
>>88754653
I swear, I feel like I see this meme every week.
>>88754275
Oi, OP, where did you get the info from?
Just wanting to check, btw, it would be hilarious/pityful to check the rest of that info.
>>88754275
Ike "no more reshoots I need another gold tooth" Perlmutter.
Ike "the max we pay is scale and all our tv shows fail" Perlmutter.
>>88760318
Isn't that actually kind of small for an hour long series?
>>88760333
That's because you do:
