Apparently Seth doesn't have a lot of input on FG because he trusts the show runners and only doctors the scripts from time to time if he doesn't think something lands at the table read. But with AD he usually schedules a meeting with the showrunners before they go in production for the season to go through all the scripts for that season. He's way more hands on with American Dad than Family Guy sort of like how Matt Groening was way less hands on with the Simpsons once Futurama got greenlit.

Never killed, they just had no real use for her after the show started dropping the political stuff and they probably figured there wasn't as much mileage to get out of a one note comedic sexual attraction.

A lot of the earlier characters had the same thing happened to them. Klaus hasn't been overly prominent in a long time, Greg and Terry kind of fell off too until Terry was written out due to Mike Barker moving over to Family Guy.
