why was this show so good?

For many kids including myself it was there first real taste of dark humor. Characters got maimed or killed as a joke. The protagonists were Death, a sociopath and an idiot. The group dynamic with Mandy as the leader, Grim as the slave and Billy as the designated pain sponge. And everyone else in the show was expendable. Then fredfredburger became a meme, underfist happened and it kinda reached a lowpoint it never got a chance to recover from

For all of its other strengths, this show would have gotten nowhere without its absolutely brilliant premise.

And the fact that they made the Grim Reaper Jamaican, which just fit far better than it should have. Fuck, I loved Grim.
