Whenever there's a scene with any action whatsoever, suddenly everyone turns into cardboard.

It's completely average. Just competent enough to be serviceable to the character so they can keep her around. I wish Spider Gwen had gotten at least this level of competency though, considering her book is absolute fucking dreck not even waifufags dare tempt to read, even the art is horrible.

Basically i just meant i think she's as popular as she deserves to be, i'm glad you like her and all that shit. I think comic book character are like fighting game characters. People choose them based on very immediate, surface level traits such as powers and design and genre, THEN decide to investigate further to see whether they really like them or not. On a surface level Gwenpool will always just be Gwen Stacy + Deapool, regardless of the truth of that in her own story. So if people aren't into that, they won't be into her
