I still think its actually Cinder's soul, and its the reason why Silver Eye power is the main threat to the Maidens. Not only is it horrendously damaging, it rips out a piece of their soul, and if a Maiden was exposed to Silver Eyes for long enough or often enough they could be destroyed altogether or made utterly powerless

I need to ask a question of you guys. Does Whitley have a yellowish skin tone relative to Weiss or is my eye sight just terrible? I am partially red/green colourblind but only slightly

In the concept art both Whitley and Weiss appear to have pale skin with a slight yellow tint which is obvious when compared to their white hair but in the show Weiss' skin looks more pink and Whitley's more yellow. Is this just me?

I am somewhat confused.
Winter mentions Schnees having summoning powers for generations, in way which would imply not only Willow having same powers, but at least Nicholas too.
But here is the thing. Judging by current Schnee kids, slender build and white hair seem to be a dominant traits. And WInter looks almost entierly like a younger Willow. And none of them posess any characteristics of NIck, at least from what we saw of him, which would imply Willow aslo takes after her mother.
Glyphs seem to come from Nick specifically with having a same symbol and all, but what about summoning? Could it imply that it came from the other chunk of the familly?

I'm pretty sure Glyphs are a subset of summoning, which involves combining them with Dust to generate the varying effects (still not sure how the Time Dilation shit works but I have a theory about it having to do with magic interacting with semblances)
As for their build, it could just be that Grandma Schnee was of a similar build to the rest of the Schnee's, and those genes combined with Jacques natural tall and slim build to give us the current generation

Menagerie is basically Australia right at the very start of colonization, attempts to explore the interior might have been made but have probably either died or returned with reports of their being somewhere between little to fuck all worth actually going out there for. Well there is the possibility of asking for aid from the other countries. pre-beacon fall Vale would have been in a position to help and Atlas likes to look like they care, Start out slowly expanding the boarders beating back the grimm and trying make the livable bit by bit. Try to build an irrigation system to farm is the dryer areas. Slowly but surely gaining more ground over time. The best help they could get is the robots since they wouldn't need to eat or drink, and is probably easier to keep them in batteries. Even good land takes a while to settle. I wasn't proposing one army just running about killing Sand Grimm, I meant slowly changing the land rather than living in Lagos tier population density
