Lapis's expression is analytical. Lapis didn't trust Peridot before, and now she's determining whether Peridot was telling the truth about being a homeworld fugitive.
Peridot's expression is anxiety and guilt.
Reading facial expressions is difficult for some, but worth learning since facial expressions can convey a relatively large amount of data with just a few changed lines
